10/2/72 <br />535 South Taylor Street Mrs. Esther Littow, owner of the structure <br />at 535 South Taylor Street, appeared before the Board to state she <br />has contacted persons to rehabilitate the property. She was informed <br />that persons working on the property must have permits to do so and <br />was granted a continuance of thirty days, with Mr. Steed to keep the <br />structure under surveillance. <br />822-824 South Bend Avenue The matter of the sub -standard condition <br />of the structure at 22- 24 South Bend Avenue was continued for a <br />period of thirty days. <br />816 Frances Street At the request of Lloyd Taylor, Director of the <br />Redevelopment Commission this matter is continued for thirty days. <br />317-319 Laurel Street Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />Board authorized Mr. Steed to seek bids for the demolition of the <br />structure at 317-319 Laurel Street. <br />2109- Unden Avenue Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />e—! Board authorized Mr. Steed to seek bids for the demolition of the <br />structure at 2108 Linden Avenue. <br />2507 Linden Avenue No receipt having been received to indicate <br />V <br />the owners had received the registered letter requesting them to <br />appear before the Board, the matter is continued for one week. <br />630-6302 North Hill Street Mr. and Mrs. Carey Payton, 611 North <br />Jacob Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before the Board to <br />state that if it would cost the sum of money indicated by the Redevelopment <br />Commission to repair the structure at 630-6302 North Hill Street, <br />they could not do it. Lloyd Taylor of the Redevelopment Commission <br />showed an itemized account of the repairs and the estimated cost, <br />and it was felt the house did not warrant that amount of money being <br />spent. Bids having been previously received for the demolition <br />of the structure, the Board, now upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, awards the bid to O'Neal Trucking Company on its low bid <br />of $685.00. <br />1232 West Jefferson Boulevard This being the date'set for receiving <br />bids for the demolition of the structure at 1232 West Jefferson Boul- <br />evard, the following bids were opened and read, after ascertaining <br />that the non -collusion affidavits were in proper order: <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $548.00 <br />Bryant Excavating Company 390.00 <br />B & J Demolition 600.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid was awarded to the <br />Bryant Excavating Company on its low bid of $390.00 <br />1904 South Carlisle Street This being the date set for receiving <br />bids for the demolition of the structure at 1904 South Carlisle <br />Street, the following bids were opened and read: Non -collusion <br />affidavits were found to be in proper order. <br />Bryant Excavating Company $295.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company 485.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the award was made to <br />the Bryant Excavating Company on its low bid of $295.00. <br />515-and 513 North Hill A letter was received from Roger Parent, <br />Fourth District Councilman, who was present at the meeting, and he <br />was informed that these structures are presently under bid to be <br />demolished. <br />
