10/2/72 535 South Taylor Street Mrs. Esther Littow, owner of the structure at 535 South Taylor Street, appeared before the Board to state she has contacted persons to rehabilitate the property. She was informed that persons working on the property must have permits to do so and was granted a continuance of thirty days, with Mr. Steed to keep the structure under surveillance. 822-824 South Bend Avenue The matter of the sub -standard condition of the structure at 22- 24 South Bend Avenue was continued for a period of thirty days. 816 Frances Street At the request of Lloyd Taylor, Director of the Redevelopment Commission this matter is continued for thirty days. 317-319 Laurel Street Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board authorized Mr. Steed to seek bids for the demolition of the structure at 317-319 Laurel Street. 2109- Unden Avenue Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the e—! Board authorized Mr. Steed to seek bids for the demolition of the structure at 2108 Linden Avenue. 2507 Linden Avenue No receipt having been received to indicate V the owners had received the registered letter requesting them to appear before the Board, the matter is continued for one week. 630-6302 North Hill Street Mr. and Mrs. Carey Payton, 611 North Jacob Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before the Board to state that if it would cost the sum of money indicated by the Redevelopment Commission to repair the structure at 630-6302 North Hill Street, they could not do it. Lloyd Taylor of the Redevelopment Commission showed an itemized account of the repairs and the estimated cost, and it was felt the house did not warrant that amount of money being spent. Bids having been previously received for the demolition of the structure, the Board, now upon motion made, seconded and carried, awards the bid to O'Neal Trucking Company on its low bid of $685.00. 1232 West Jefferson Boulevard This being the date'set for receiving bids for the demolition of the structure at 1232 West Jefferson Boul- evard, the following bids were opened and read, after ascertaining that the non -collusion affidavits were in proper order: O'Neal Trucking Company $548.00 Bryant Excavating Company 390.00 B & J Demolition 600.00 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid was awarded to the Bryant Excavating Company on its low bid of $390.00 1904 South Carlisle Street This being the date set for receiving bids for the demolition of the structure at 1904 South Carlisle Street, the following bids were opened and read: Non -collusion affidavits were found to be in proper order. Bryant Excavating Company $295.00 O'Neal Trucking Company 485.00 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the award was made to the Bryant Excavating Company on its low bid of $295.00. 515-and 513 North Hill A letter was received from Roger Parent, Fourth District Councilman, who was present at the meeting, and he was informed that these structures are presently under bid to be demolished.
