Richardson City Engineer, City of South Bend County City Building South Bend, Indiana Dear Bill: In confirmation of our previous discussion regarding the materials purchased for this project in the amount of $2,160.00 we will deliver those electrical fixtures as outlined in Morse Electric Company letter to us of which you have a copy. We agree that in return for payment for these materials, which are to be delivered to the City of South Bend, the contract for this project may be cancelled by you. Ruhlman Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Board approved voiding the contract signed with the Rieth Riley Construction Company. PROJECT CHANGE ORDER - TWYCKENHAM & EWING INTERSECTION Upon motion made, seconded and carried the Board approved Change Order #2, to increase the contract for Twyckenham and Ewing Inter- section by $2,767.60 for the Rieth-Riley Construction Company. HEARING ON VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3368,072 - ST. PETER STREET. This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation Resolution No. 3368,1972 for the vacation of St. Peter Street from the South right- of-way line of Cedar'Street running South 410, to the North right- of-way line of Madison Street. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on September lst and September 8, 1972 and same were found to be sufficient. No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been filed; upon motion made seconded and unanimously carried, the Said Resolution adopted on August 28, 1972 is ratified and confirmed and said street vacated. The City Engineer is directed to prepare an assessment roll showing the award of damages and the assessment 6f6 benefits to the surround- ing properties. PETITION TO PAVE ALLEY BETWEEN BERKLEY AND IN_GLEWOOD.OAKWOOD.LATHROP A petition containing fourteen signatures was received asking for the paving of the North and South alley from Oakwood to Lathrop between Berkley Place and Inglewood Place. Upon motion made,.seconded and carried, this was referred to the Bureau of Engineering for study and recommendation.
