9/11/72 <br />APPLICATIONS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Applications for the Police Department were received and ordered filed <br />with the Department of Personnel for: <br />Richard Casimir Buczek Richard Jerry Overmyer <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Mr. Isaiah Steed, Sub -Standards Director, was present and matters pertaining <br />to his department were discussed. <br />1320 East Cedar Street Mr. Hiram Bonds, 1316 East Cedar Street, owners <br />of the property, appeared before the Board to state that he is fixing <br />the property up. The house is rented. The wiring has been brought up <br />to standard, and he is taking care of the rest of the items. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the Board directed Mr. Steed to monitor <br />the property to see that it is brought up,to standard. <br />140 East North Shore Drive. Mr. Steed asked that this be continued for <br />two weeks, as Mr. Henningfeld is still trying to close the deal. <br />1207 West Jefferson Blvd. This matter was continued two weeks until the <br />parties concerned can get together. <br />735 North Hill Street Mrs. Louise O'Neal was present at the meeting and <br />stated she is working on the house. .Mrs. Madison also stated she is <br />working with Mr. Madison of the Redevelopment Commission to bring the <br />house up to standard. The Board requested that Mr. Madison keep on <br />with her. The matter was continued for two weeks. <br />Mr. Richard Madison and Miss Sandra Daniels, Financial Advisor, with <br />the Redevelopment Commission were present at the meeting. <br />721-723 Howard Street Mr. David Moss was present at the meeting and <br />the <br />said notice to appear at the meeting was the first notice he had <br />had. He requested a two weeks extension which was granted. <br />728 North Hill Street Mr. & Mrs. Robert Swartz, 6666 18th Street, <br />North, St. Petersburg, Florida are to be notified by registered letter, <br />of the sub -standard condition of the dwelling at 728 North Hill Street. <br />Mrs. Dorothy Ivy has been relocated. The matter was continued for two <br />weeks. <br />615 Howard Street Mrs. Ella Walker, was present at the meeting and <br />said she thinks the house can be brought up to standard. The matter <br />was continued for two weeks, and she is to meet with Mr. Madison. <br />r <br />742 North Frances Mr. Hollis Fleming, owner, was present at the meeting <br />and requested a continuance of two weeks. This was granted by the Board. <br />726 North Frances Street In the absence of a signed receipt from Mrs. Elizabeth <br />Lawson, owner of the building, the Redevelopment Commission was directed <br />to send another letter to Mrs. Lawson. <br />721 North Eddy Street Isaiah Whitlock appeared before the Board and <br />requested the matter be continued for two weeks. Upon motion made <br />seconded and carried, the matter was continued for two weeks. <br />413 St. Vincent Street Mr. Steed said the owners are working on the house <br />and trying to restore it. Upon motion made, seconded and carried the <br />matter was continued for two weeks. <br />
