9/11/72 APPLICATIONS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT Applications for the Police Department were received and ordered filed with the Department of Personnel for: Richard Casimir Buczek Richard Jerry Overmyer BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB STANDARDS DIVISION Mr. Isaiah Steed, Sub -Standards Director, was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. 1320 East Cedar Street Mr. Hiram Bonds, 1316 East Cedar Street, owners of the property, appeared before the Board to state that he is fixing the property up. The house is rented. The wiring has been brought up to standard, and he is taking care of the rest of the items. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board directed Mr. Steed to monitor the property to see that it is brought up,to standard. 140 East North Shore Drive. Mr. Steed asked that this be continued for two weeks, as Mr. Henningfeld is still trying to close the deal. 1207 West Jefferson Blvd. This matter was continued two weeks until the parties concerned can get together. 735 North Hill Street Mrs. Louise O'Neal was present at the meeting and stated she is working on the house. .Mrs. Madison also stated she is working with Mr. Madison of the Redevelopment Commission to bring the house up to standard. The Board requested that Mr. Madison keep on with her. The matter was continued for two weeks. Mr. Richard Madison and Miss Sandra Daniels, Financial Advisor, with the Redevelopment Commission were present at the meeting. 721-723 Howard Street Mr. David Moss was present at the meeting and the said notice to appear at the meeting was the first notice he had had. He requested a two weeks extension which was granted. 728 North Hill Street Mr. & Mrs. Robert Swartz, 6666 18th Street, North, St. Petersburg, Florida are to be notified by registered letter, of the sub -standard condition of the dwelling at 728 North Hill Street. Mrs. Dorothy Ivy has been relocated. The matter was continued for two weeks. 615 Howard Street Mrs. Ella Walker, was present at the meeting and said she thinks the house can be brought up to standard. The matter was continued for two weeks, and she is to meet with Mr. Madison. r 742 North Frances Mr. Hollis Fleming, owner, was present at the meeting and requested a continuance of two weeks. This was granted by the Board. 726 North Frances Street In the absence of a signed receipt from Mrs. Elizabeth Lawson, owner of the building, the Redevelopment Commission was directed to send another letter to Mrs. Lawson. 721 North Eddy Street Isaiah Whitlock appeared before the Board and requested the matter be continued for two weeks. Upon motion made seconded and carried, the matter was continued for two weeks. 413 St. Vincent Street Mr. Steed said the owners are working on the house and trying to restore it. Upon motion made, seconded and carried the matter was continued for two weeks.
