REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 21, 1975 <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA APPLICATIONS <br />The following River Bend Plaza Applications were received from <br />Louis Wilcox, Director, with his favorable rec°ommendation: <br />Richard Stowell, Food Handling Vehicle, from May until late fall. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the <br />application subject to the proper license and insurance being <br />secured and also to the Board being notified of the procedure to <br />be used for handling solid waste. <br />Shirley Fulton, Kite Flying Contest of May 3. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the application was tabled and Mr. Wilcox <br />was requested to provide additional information to the Board next <br />Mon day . <br />U. S. Coast Guard, Display Booths, May 28 and 29. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the application was approved. <br />BONDS APPROVED <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board <br />that the following bonds were properly executed and could be <br />approved: <br />T.J. Maeyens, d/b/a Bud's Concrete Contractor to April 14, 1976 <br />Muia Construction Company to April 9, 1976. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bonds were approved <br />to the dates listed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of April 8 through <br />April 16 was received. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the report was ordered filed. <br />DELOS HOUSE MOVING QUESTIONED <br />Joseph Serge, Councilman, 1st District, was present and asked the <br />Board when the Delos House Drug Center would be moved from Bartlett <br />Street. Mr. Farrand said the contract to purchase the new house <br />for the center provided that the house be brought up to City <br />standards and the appropriation included money for this. The <br />move will be made when these minor changes have been completed. <br />Mr. Serge asked Mr. Farrand if he could be advised when Delos <br />House is ready to be moved and Mr. Farrand said he would be <br />notified. <br />Mrs. Delores Kovas also questioned the delay in moving Delos House <br />and said that the money was approved five weeks ago. Mr. <br />Farrand said that the legal description in the original contract <br />was faulty and caused a delay in approval. The contract was <br />approved on March 27, 1975. He said as soon as the house on <br />Frances Street is up to Code, the move will be made. <br />CONSULTANT'S CONTRACTS FILED WITH THE BOARD - STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br />A proposed contract with Murphy Consultants for street improvements <br />on Chapin Street, between Western Avenue and Washington Street <br />and a proposed contract with Cole Associates, Inc. for street <br />improvements on Ironwood Drive, between Edison Road and South Bend <br />Avenue, were submitted to the Board. Mr. Farrand explained that <br />there is a need to get started on funding of the projects since it <br />is a very lengthy process. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the contracts were filed with the Board and referred to the Legal <br />Depatment for review of the contracts and to the Division of <br />Engineering for preparation of appropriation ordinances.. <br />1 <br />
