REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 21. 1975 <br />1 <br />C0 <br />M <br />W <br />I <br />RECOMMENDATION - REQUESTS IFOR STREET SERVICES <br />Requests for Street Services were received by the Board of Public <br />Works and referred to the Legal Department and the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. The following <br />recommendations were received. In regard to the request of <br />Celestial Prophet Clarence Hardin, the Board approved his request <br />to hold street services on a private lot at the corner of Walnut <br />and Washington Streets on Saturdays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. This <br />approval was given with the stipulation that if the services cause <br />any congestion or traffic interruption or interfere with pedestrians, <br />the approval will be rescinded. In regard to the request of Rev. <br />Brinkley Collier to hold services at Walnut and Washington Streets <br />and on South Franklin Street, it was recommended that Rev. Collier <br />furnish to the Board the written permission of the owner of the <br />property at the Walnut and Washington location. In regard to the <br />South Franklin Street location, Rev. Collier is to be asked to <br />furnish the Board with the exact location -in the block and to submit <br />written permission of the owner if he is using private property. <br />He should also specify the exact time of the services on Franklin Street. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendations of the Department of Law and the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting. <br />REQUEST TO WAIVE FEE FOR MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM APPROVED <br />The Board received a request from Janice Patton, Chairman of the <br />Miss Black South Bend Pageant, that the rental fee for the Morris <br />Civic Auditorium be waived for this event. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the request was approved and the rental fee is waived. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:50 a.m. <br />'Rollin E.
