REGULAR MEETING APRIL 21. 1975 1 C0 M W I RECOMMENDATION - REQUESTS IFOR STREET SERVICES Requests for Street Services were received by the Board of Public Works and referred to the Legal Department and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. The following recommendations were received. In regard to the request of Celestial Prophet Clarence Hardin, the Board approved his request to hold street services on a private lot at the corner of Walnut and Washington Streets on Saturdays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. This approval was given with the stipulation that if the services cause any congestion or traffic interruption or interfere with pedestrians, the approval will be rescinded. In regard to the request of Rev. Brinkley Collier to hold services at Walnut and Washington Streets and on South Franklin Street, it was recommended that Rev. Collier furnish to the Board the written permission of the owner of the property at the Walnut and Washington location. In regard to the South Franklin Street location, Rev. Collier is to be asked to furnish the Board with the exact location -in the block and to submit written permission of the owner if he is using private property. He should also specify the exact time of the services on Franklin Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommendations of the Department of Law and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. REQUEST TO WAIVE FEE FOR MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM APPROVED The Board received a request from Janice Patton, Chairman of the Miss Black South Bend Pageant, that the rental fee for the Morris Civic Auditorium be waived for this event. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request was approved and the rental fee is waived.
