i <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 21, 1975 <br />APPLICATION FOR LICENSE TO bPERATE SCRAP YARD 307 W. CALVERT <br />An application was .received from Albert G. Mickelson, 21340 Kern <br />Road, for a scrap dealer's license to operate at 307 W. Calvert Street. <br />This petition was before the Board of Zoning Appeals and they have <br />approved it, subject to all restrictions of the Municipal Code <br />regarding such operations. Attached to the application was a petition <br />signed by property owners with.400 feet of the property and a <br />drawing of the proposed scrap yard. _Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the Board referred the application to the Department of <br />Engineering to review the petition and drawing and to the Fire <br />Department for investigation of Code Requirements and a report to <br />the Board. <br />CREST MANOR SANITARY SEWERS - CHANGE°ORDER APPROVED <br />Change Order No. 1 for the Crest Manor Sanitary Sewers, authorized <br />under Improvement Resolution No. 3403, 1974, was submitted to the <br />Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Change Order <br />was approved. <br />CREST MANOR SANITARY SEWERS - FILING OF FINAL ESTIMATE <br />The Final Estimate for the Crest Manor Sanitary Sewers, in the <br />amount of $15,823.50, was submitted to the Board. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the final estimate was filed. <br />CREST MANOR SANITARY SEWERS - COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT AND BOND APPROVED <br />The Project Completion Affidavit and Maintenance Bond for the Crest <br />Manor Sewer Project, Improvement Resolution No. 3403, 1974 were <br />submitted to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />Completion Affidavit and Maintenance Bond were approved. <br />FILING OF ASSESSMENT ROLL -. CREST MANOR SANITARY SEWERS <br />Assessment Roll No. 2976 for the Crest Manor Sanitary Sewers, <br />authorized under Improvement Resolution No. 3403, 1974,.was filed <br />with the Board, upon motion made, seconded and carried. The Board, <br />upon motion made, seconded and carried, set Monday, May 12, 1975 <br />at 9:30 a.m, in the Board of Works Hearing Room as the time and <br />place for a public hearing on the Assessment Roll. <br />LETTER TO COUNCILMAN KOPCZYNSKI RE: FIRE.STATION FOUR <br />The _following letter was sent'to Councilman Kopczynski in response <br />to questions he raised regarding the closing of Fire Stations Four <br />and Eleven and the location of the new Station Four. <br />Deat Mr. Kopczynski: <br />April 21, 1975 <br />With regard to your letter of April 9, 1975, these are the <br />main reasons for locating the new Fire Station No. Four at <br />the Olive -Linden Street site: <br />1. To improve ladder truck company service in the west <br />central part of the City. <br />2. To take advantage of the Orange Street -Colfax Street <br />east -west thoroughfare which is currently awaiting <br />State Highway approval. <br />3.
