b <br />REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 10, 1975 <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3412, 1975 ADOPTED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following resolution <br />was adopted by the Board: <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3412, 1975, <br />RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE -CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />The north and south alley between Phillipa Street and <br />Carlisle Street, from Dunham Street south -to the first <br />alley south of Dunham Street, City of South Bend. <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the Municipal <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any facilities, <br />including, but not limited to, the following: electric, telephone, <br />gas, water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches, <br />within the vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by <br />the individual Utilities. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficial) affected <br />cT g P P y Y J y y <br />by such vacation: <br />W <br />Lots 142 to 145 inclusive and Lot 111 in Realty <br />Construction Company's Second Addition <br />Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 14th and 21st <br />day of February, 1975 in the South Bend Tribune and in the Tri-County <br />News. <br />This Board,'at its office, on the loth day of March, 1975 at 9:30 <br />o'clock; A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons <br />interested in or affected by these proceedings. <br />Adopted this loth day of February, 1975. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ Rollin E. S. <br />31 to the City. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />resolution was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3, 1975 <br />RESOLUTION CONCURRING IN THE FUTURE CONVEYANCE TO <br />LOCAL CONTROL OF PORTIONS OF U. S. 31 FROM U. S. 20 <br />BYPASS NORTHWARDLY TO THE MICHIGAN STATE LINE <br />WHEREAS, existing state statutes provide that the line or actual <br />location of a State Highway may deviate from the location of the public <br />highway as actually traveled at such time such public highway was <br />designated as a State Highway as may be deemed expedient by the State <br />Highway Commission, in order to shorten distance, eliminate steep <br />grades or sharp turns, widen narrow portions, or otherwise promote <br />public convenience and safety; and <br />
