REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 28, 1974 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Legal Department.and the application of <br />William Toles to operate a taxicab company was denied. <br />PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT AND ESCROW AGREEMENT APPROVED <br />RIVERSIDE COURT CONDOMINIUMS <br />The Board received a Project Completion Affidavit and an Escrow <br />Agreement from Riverview Homes, Inc. for improvements in the <br />Riverside Court Condominiums. The project is incomplete and <br />the escrow agreement provides a letter of credit from the First <br />Bank and Trust Company guaranteeing the money for the uncompleted <br />portions of the project. .Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the Board approved the Completion Affidavit for the completed <br />portions of the work as outlined in the letter from Patrick McMahon, <br />Manager, Bureau of Public Construction, and approved the Escrow <br />Agreement and Letter of Credit from the First Bank & Trust Company <br />guaranteeing the sum of $13,000 for the completion of the <br />improvements." <br />C� <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - BUREAU OF FIRE UNIFORMS <br />Assistant Chief Joseph V. Nagy, Bureau of Fire, sent a request to <br />the Board to advertise for uniforms for the Fire Department for <br />1975. Specifications were attached. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the Board authorized advertising on November 1 and 8 with <br />bids to be received on Monday, November 18, 1974. <br />CHANGE ORDER - MEADOWVIEW SEWERS <br />A Change Order for the Meadowview Sewer Project was submitted to the <br />Board. The Change Order increased the contract by $1,266.40 and was <br />for adjustments in as -built quantities. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried the change order was approved. <br />PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT APPROVED MEADOWVIEW SANITARY SEWERS <br />The Project Completion Affidavit for the Meadowview Sanitary Sewer <br />project was submitted to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the completion affidavit was approved. <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED - MEADOWVIEW SANITARY SEWERS <br />City Engineer Rollin E. Farrand filed with the Board the final assess- <br />ment roll for the Meadowview Sanitary Sewers, authorized under <br />Improvement Resolution No. 3382, 1973. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the Assessment Roll was filed and the Board set Monday, <br />November 18, 1974 at 9:30 a.m, as the time and place for hearing all <br />remonstrances against the assessments.. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3406, 1974 ADOPTED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following resolution <br />was adopted: <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3406, 1974 <br />RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana <br />that it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />Sunnymede Avenue from the west right-of-way line of <br />35th Street to the west line of Lots 7 and 18 of Jerome <br />First Addition to the City of South Bend, as amended. <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the Municipal <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any facilities, <br />including, but not limited to, the following: electric, telephone, gas, <br />water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches, within <br />the vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by the <br />individual Utilities. <br />
