<br />APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE Q.F. PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY
<br />WILLIAM TOLES
<br />The Board received an application for a Certificate of Public Con-
<br />venience and Necessity for the Operation of a Taxicab Company from
<br />William Toles, 1402 West Washington Street. Upon motion made,
<br />seconded and carried, the Board referred the application to the
<br />Legal Department and the Bureau of Traffic .and Lighting for review
<br />and recommendation.
<br />APPROVAL OF BONDS
<br />Upon the recommendation of Ray S. Andrysiak,, Bureau of Engineering,
<br />the following bonds were submitted to the Board for approval:
<br />CONTRACTOR'S BONDS
<br />Macumber Construction Company to 9/l/75
<br />Basic Machine Products to 9/17/75
<br />David Scott to 6/1/75
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the bonds
<br />to the dates listed.

<br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED
<br />Gx The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting requested approval of the following
<br />%s7 traffic control devices:
<br />A. Installation of Stop Signs at Wabash and Calvert, Meade at
<br />Calvert, Prospect at Calvert, Delaware at Meade, Wabash at
<br />Delaware, Wabash at Ewing and Ewing at Meade. Upon motion
<br />made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the installation.
<br />B. Change Yield Sign to Stop Sign on Hill Street at South Bend
<br />Avenue. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board
<br />approved the installation.
<br />C. Installation of Stop Signs on Service Court #5 at E. Jefferson
<br />and E. Washington, on Rasmussen Court at W. Jefferson and at
<br />West Washington and on Woodward Court at West Washington. Upon
<br />motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the installation.
<br />RECOMMENDATION FOR DISPLAY OF FIRE EQUIPMENT
<br />The Board received a recommendation from Clem Hazinski, Manager, Bureau
<br />of Traffic and Lighting, that a display of fire equipment be allowed
<br />on the supergraphic area on River Bend Plaza during Fire Prevention
<br />Week, October 6 through October 12, 1974. Upon motion made, seconded
<br />and carried, the Board referred this recommendation to Louis Wilcox,
<br />Director of River Bend Plaza, for his review.
<br />INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTS APPROVED
<br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting recommended installation of the
<br />following street lights:
<br />Install two 7,000L MV OH WP and one 20,000L MV OH WP on Ironwood
<br />Circle. Cost $13.00/mo. or $156.00/yr. Upon motion made, seconded
<br />and carried, the installation was approved.
<br />Gertrude Street -Rum Village Park entrance - Install nine 7,000L MV OH WP,
<br />one 20,000L MV OH WP, and remove five 4,000L MV OH WP. Cost $26.25/mo.
<br />or $315.00/yr. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the installation
<br />was approved.
<br />Werwinski Street, mid -block west of Johnson. Install one light at
<br />$3.75/mo. or $45.00/yr. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the
<br />installation was approved.
<br />Fox, Ewing and Bowman Streets at the alley intersection parallel to
<br />and west of Miami. Install three 7,000L MV OH WP. Cost $11.25/mo. or
<br />$135.00/yr. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the installation
<br />was approved.
