REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 9, 1974 <br />4. Michigan Street (US3l) Madison School <br />West side', 131 ft. south of Wakewa <br />East side, 67 ft. north of Riverside Drive <br />5. Michigan Street (US 31) Monroe School <br />West side, 18 ft. north of Farneman St. <br />East side, 12 ft. north of Farneman St. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried,the recommendation was <br />approved and the Clerk was directed to send a letter requesting <br />authorization from the Indiana State Highway Commission to make <br />these installations. All installations will be according to State <br />standards at the City's expense. <br />RELEASE OF BOND - MEP CORPORATION <br />The Board received a recommendation from Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau <br />of Engineering, that the Excavation Bond of the MEP Corporation <br />could be released. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />Board released the Excavation Bond of the MEP- Corporation, effective <br />September 9, 1974. <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - INWOOD RD.-DENSLOW DR. STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br />W <br />Mr. Farrand requested that the Board authorize -.advertising for bids <br />for street improvements to Inwood Rd.-Denslow Dr., between Sampson <br />and Ironwood. Money has been appropriated by the Council and plans <br />will be completed this week. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the Board approved the request and authorized the Clerk to advertise <br />for bids on September 13 and 20, with bids to be opened on September <br />23, 1974. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The Street Light Outage report for the period of August 30 to September <br />5 was received and ordered filed. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA APPLICATIONS APPROVED <br />The Board received two applications for River Bend Plaza. One was <br />for a Northern Indiana Artists Show and Sale on September 20 and 21. <br />The other was from Field Enterprises for a display booth. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the applications. <br />STREET LIGHT INSTALLATIONS APPROVED <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting recommended the installation of the <br />following street lights: <br />1. At the alley north of Elwood on Adams, install one <br />7,000L MV OH WP - Cost $3.75/mo. or $45.00/yr. <br />2. 900 Block Lawndale, mid -block, install one 7,000L <br />MV OH WP - Cost $3.75/mo. or $45.00/yr. <br />3. 1100 Block Thomas replace one 1,000L INC OH WP at <br />an alley intersection with one 7,000L MV OH WP - <br />Cost - $3.50/mo. or $42.00/yr. <br />4. Piedmont Way and Trent Way - install four 7,000 L <br />MV OH WP @ $3.50/mo. - $14.00/mo. Install four <br />7,000L MV OH WP @ $3.75/mo. - $15.00/mo. Remove <br />four 4,000L MV OH WP @ $2.60/mo. - $10.40/mo. <br />Increase - $18.60/mo. or $223.20/yr. <br />TITLE SHEET APPROVED - O'BRIEN STREET SANITARY SEWERS <br />The Board received the title sheet approving the plans for the O'Brien <br />Street sanitary sewer to be constructed by Builders United and the <br />Great Horizons Development Corporation. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the title sheet approving the plans wes signed. <br />
