1` o <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 3, 1974 <br />Mr. Hazinski was contacted earlier.in the year in reference <br />to the above matter. He'concurred with their request at that <br />time. It is recommended that the new three -space cab stand <br />in 100 West.Wayne Street be approved. The three meters involved <br />will be transferred to the 200 block of West Wayne in the <br />abandoned three -space stand. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />s/ Ralph Wadzinski <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation. <br />APPROVAL OF PARKING METER INSTALLATIONS <br />The Board received the following recommendations from the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting regarding installation of parking meters: <br />A. Seven meters were reinstalled on the northside of <br />the 100 block East Wayne Street. They are all <br />twelve minute, one cent meters. This area was previously <br />metered prior to the reconstruction of Wayne Street in <br />connection with the Plaza. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the report was ordered filed. <br />B. It was recommended that two one -hour meters be <br />installed on the south side mid -block of 100 <br />East Wayne Street. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />C. It was recommended that six meters be installed on <br />the west side of Woodward Court from Allen's Alley <br />to Washington. One would be a twelve -minute meter <br />and five one -hour meters. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />D. It was recommended that five one -hour meters be <br />installed on the east side of Service Drive No. 5 <br />north to Washington, and that approval be given for <br />an additional five one -hour meters be installed when <br />the lot is surfaced. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL FOR BLOCK PARTY GIVEN <br />A request to hold a Block Party in the 1300 and 1400 blocks of <br />Sunnymede Avenue was reviewed by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. <br />The party is to be held on June 14 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. <br />The following recommendation was received: <br />"This Bureau reviewed a request for a block party in the <br />1300-1400 block of Sunnymede Avenue on June 14, 1974. <br />The South Bend Police Departmnet's Traffic Captain was <br />contacted and indicated his approval with the stipulation <br />that no open fires (bonfires) be ignited on the street. <br />Providing the petitioners meet the Board's insurance <br />requirements, this Bureau recommends approval and will <br />provide the necessary barricades to be placed and — <br />removed by the responsible residents. <br />s/ Ralph Wadzinski it <br />
