REGULAR MEETING <br />REPORT - SIGNS POSTED AT'5`700 YORK ROAD <br />AUGUST 30, 1976 <br />The Board received a petition -from residentsofthe York Road <br />area regarding an incomplete portion of Roadway in the 5700 <br />block, south of Georgian Drive. The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />reported to the Board that 12 foot barricades.have been erected <br />indicating that the roadway is closed. Additional signage "Road <br />Closed" will also be installed. Mr. Wadzinski also reported that <br />the Bureau of Design and Administration is making arrangements <br />to,have the contractors complete the paving of this section of <br />roadway. Mr. Farrand also reported to the Board that the complaint <br />of tree limbs and debris in the area have been referred to the <br />Environmental Protection Office for immediate action. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the report was ordered filed. <br />REMOVAL OF STREET LIGHT APPROVED . . . <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended to the Board that the Retention Basin project at <br />Orange, College and Washington Streets, in connection with the Model <br />Cities Sewer Separation construction, necessitates the removal of <br />one.,7,000L street light, decreasing the monthly billing by <br />$4.46 per.month. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by <br />Mr. Brunner and carried, the removal was approved. <br />INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTS APPROVED <br />r-� <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended to the Board the following street light installations: <br />1. Intersection of Corby-Ironwood-Rockne <br />Remove one 4,000L INC and replace with one 202000L INC <br />Remove two 4,000L INC and.replace with two 7,000L MV <br />Install six 7,000L MV OH 14P <br />Monthly increase - $34.552 <br />Annual increase - $515.624 <br />2. At Twyckenham & Scottswood <br />Replace one 4,0001, INC with one 7,0001, MV <br />Monthly increase - $ 1.147 <br />Annual Increase - $13,764 <br />3. On Academy Place <br />Reinstall a 7,000L MV OH WP <br />Monthly increase - $ 4.782 <br />Annual increase - 13.764 <br />4. On Cove <br />Install a 7,000L MV OH WP <br />Monthly increase - $ 4.782 <br />Annual increase - 57.384 <br />5. Remove 4,000L INC in Helman Ct. <br />Plaza Lighting is sufficient. <br />Monthly decrease - $3.953 <br />Annual decrease - 47.436 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the installations and removals were approved. <br />REQUESTS RECEIVED FOR PURCHASE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY <br />The Board received a request from Thelma 14. Jones for information <br />regarding the purchase of a city -owned lot at 721 N. Eddy Street <br />and from Edmund and Helen Gapinski for information regarding the <br />purchase ,of a city -owned lot at 816 S. Pulaski Street. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the <br />requests were referred to the Department of Engineering, Parks <br />and Redevelopment to determine whether there is any need for the <br />City to retain the lots. <br />
