REGULAR MEETING JUNE 7, 1976 <br />whether some of these display booths were in keeping with the <br />ethnic spirit of the Festival and asked 11r. Simpson if guidelines <br />could be drawn up so that all booths on the Plaza during the <br />Festival could be consistent with the ethnic theme. Mr. Simpson <br />said this had not been questioned in the past -and said the <br />Bicentennial Committee, sponsors of the Festival, hasabeen.advised <br />of all booth applications and has not questioned the type of booths. <br />Mr. Brunner said he would recommend that, prior to next year's . <br />Ethnic Festival, guidelines should be adopted which would set forth <br />the type of booth and display material which would be acceptable. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the display booth applications were approved. <br />The following non-food merchandise sales booth applications and food <br />booth applications were submitted to the Board with the favorable <br />recommendation of.11r. Simpson. Bitsy Gaume, Daughters of the American <br />Revolution, Dorothy Boynton, James Vlahantonis, John Adams Band <br />Boosters, Sharon Kinzie, Aphrodite Pappas, American Lung <br />Association, Paula Gonzales, CEntral Polish.American Organization, <br />Ukrainian Youth Organization, Jim Puzello, Bill Miner, Mrs. Janet <br />Doolittle, John A. Docherty, Jr., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Tillie <br />Arch, James LeDow and LaSalle Park Senior Citizens. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and ca-ried, the appli <br />cations were approved subject to the filing of Certificates of <br />Insurance. <br />BOND APPROVED -TROY M. CITTER <br />Ray S. Andrysiak,,Bureau of Engineering,,reported to the Board that <br />a contractor's bond for Troy 11. Citter had been properly executed <br />and could be approved to 5/26/77. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the bond was approved to the <br />date listed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT -FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of June 1 through <br />4 was received. The report contained 16 outages. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the.report <br />was ordered filed. <br />PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT APPROVED - FLORAL PLACE SEWER <br />A Project Completion Affidavit for the Floral Place Sewer, a private <br />sewer construction, was submitted to the Board by the Bureau of <br />Design and Administration. Mr. Wells advised the Board that this <br />work was done according to City specifications at the expense.of <br />the property owner. The work has been inspected. The owner did <br />not file a maintenance bond for the project and request that it <br />be accepted by the,City. The term of any Maintenance Bond has now <br />expired and the City is requesting that the Completion Affidavit <br />be approved by the Board in order to close the file. Mr. Wells <br />indicated that the owner has now been declared by the court to be <br />insolvent. The construction was done by Armco Construction Company. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the Board, approved the Project Completion Affidavit for <br />the Floral Place sewer. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended that the Board approve the following traffic control <br />devices. <br />Yield Sign revised to Stop Sign - On Dogwood at Mayflower <br />Yield Sign revised to Stop Sign - On Sylvan Lane at Dogwood <br />Stop Sign - on Greenview at Silver Lane <br />Stop Sign - on Barberry at Meadow Lane <br />No Parking - Both sides of Parkway, from Dogwood to a point 100 Ft. <br />north of Parkwood <br />Stop Sign - on Drive from Bellevue Park at Meadow Lane <br />Stop Sign 0 On Park Way at Dogwood <br />
