Bid was signed by Kenneth McIntyre <br />2526 W. Sixth Street non -collusion affidavit was in <br />Mishawaka, Indiana order and a.5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - <br />Campeau Street $13,560.00 <br />Sample Street 65,834.50 <br />Edison Road 43,329.60 <br />York Road 5,001.20 <br />Miami Street 37,280.50 <br />Fairview 7,686.50(, <br />Total $133,692.30 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the bids were referred to the Bureau of Public Construction <br />for review and recommendation. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLES TRANSFERRED TO DEPARTMENT OF - PUBLIC WORKS <br />e,. The Board received a letter from Chief Michael Borkowski, Bureau of <br />Police, that the following vehicles have been removed from the - <br />Police inventory and are transferred to the Department of Public <br />C.� Works for reassignment: Mechanics 633, 638, 678 and 685. Upon <br />�= motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the letter was ordered filed and the interdepartmental transfer <br />of vehicles was noted. <br />HOMELAND SE14ER BID ACCEPTED <br />A recommendation was received from the City Engineer and the <br />Bureau of Design and Administration that the low bid of H. DeWulf <br />Mechanical Contractor, Inc, be accepted for the Homeland Sanitary <br />Sewer Project. The low bid is in the amount of $39,321.00 and <br />is higher than the engineer's estimate. There was a discussion <br />regarding the amount of the bid and Mr. Wells pointed out that <br />the low bidder was three thousand dollars under the next low bidder <br />and that if the project were re -bid, the bids might all come in <br />at a higher figure. Mr. Farrand noted that this is a Barrett Law <br />project and the property owners will be responsible for paying <br />fifty per cent of the preliminary estimate filed with the Board. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the Board accepted the low bid of H. DeWulf Mechanical Contractor, Inc. <br />of $39,321.00 for the construction of the Homeland Sanitary Sewers. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15 ADOPTED <br />Requests to purchase certain city -owned lots were received by the <br />Board and have been reviewed by City Departments to determine if <br />the properties should be retained by the City for any reason. <br />Recommendations have been received from the Division of Engineering <br />and the Department of Redevelopment that there is no need for the <br />City to retain the properties. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the following resolution was <br />adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15, 1976 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend <br />has compiled a current detailed inventory of all real property <br />owned by the City of South Bend, Indiana, pursuant to Section 30 A-1 <br />of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend; and <br />
