REGULAR MEETING MAY 10, 1976 <br />B. Harrison School Drill Team May 13, on the Plaza on <br />Robertson's Stage at 11:30 a.m. The Drill Team will march <br />down to Western Avenue. Upon motion made by Mr. Brunner, seconded <br />by Mr. Mullen and carried, the request was approved, subject <br />to coordination by Mr. Simpson with the Traffic Division. <br />C. National Day of Prayer - May 14. Mr. Simpson advised the <br />Board that this is an ecumenical service. Nadtional observance of <br />this day has been proclaimed by President Ford. Various church <br />leaders in the community have joined in making arrangements and <br />it is interdenominational. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, the observanceā€˛was approved. <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED - SOLLITT CONSTRUCTION COMPANY <br />A certificate of insurance from the Sollitt Construction Company <br />wa.s received and reviewed by Deputy City Attorney William <br />Stanley. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the certificate was ordered filed. <br />BOND APPROVED - STAFFORD CONSTRUCTION COMPANY <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board <br />that the Continuation Certificate for the bond of Stafford Construction <br />Company had been properly executed and could be approved to <br />4/25/77. Upon motion made by Mr. Brunner, seconded by Mr. Mullen <br />and carried, the bond was approved to the date listed. <br />m <br />BOND RELEASED - ROBERT P. GOETZ <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board <br />that a request to release the bond of Robert Goetz had been received <br />Mr. Andrysiak reviewed the bond and advised the Board that there <br />are no outstanding claims or permits for this contractor and the <br />bond can be released. Upon motion made by Mr, Mullen, seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bond of Robert Goetz was released <br />effective May 10, 1976. <br />MEETING OF MAY 31 RESCHEDULED <br />It was noted that the County -City Building will be closed on <br />Monday, May 31, Memorial Day. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the meeting of May 31 was <br />rescheduled for Tuesday, June 1, 1976 at 9:36 a.m. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of May 2 through 7 <br />was received. The report indicated 18 outages. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. Brunner, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the <br />report was ordered filed. <br />BICENTENNIAL WAGON TRAINS AND BUGGY RIDES APPROVED <br />The Board received the following recommendation from Ralph Wadzinski, <br />Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, regarding the <br />request of the Zoological Society for the Indiana and National Wagon <br />Trains to come to South Bend for a stay at Potowatomi Park and for <br />buggy rides to be conducted from the Park to the river on May 11, <br />12 and 13. Mr. Wadzinski said he had conferred with Captain Sweitzer <br />of the Police Department Traffic Division and they have recommended <br />approval of the parade of the Indiana Wagon Train from U. S. 31 South <br />on May 11, 1976 at approximately 2:00 p.m. An escort and traffic <br />control have been arranged. The National Wagon Train will arrive <br />from New Carlisle on May 135, 1976 on U. S. 20 and the Traffic <br />Division has recommended that they arrive before 3:00 p.m, or after <br />6:00 p.m. The route submitted by the Zoological Society for getting <br />the wagon trains to Potowatomi Park has been approved. The wagon <br />trains will leave South Bend on May 14, 1976 at 10:00 a.m, via Ironwood <br />to Jefferson and Jefferson to the city limits. Traffic control <br />
