z o <br />REGULAR 14EET ING <br />APRIL 5, 1976 <br />OPENING OF BIDS - LOGGING TAPE;RECORDER, FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for a.logging tape. <br />recorder for the Fire Department. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and in the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Magnasync-Moviola Corporation Bid was signed by Glenn Bushway, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 10% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Bid - Recorder -Reproducer $90684.00 <br />High Speed Generator Reader 1,790.00 <br />See Thru Locking Door„ 222.00 <br />Automatic Gain Control Amplifier 13.00 each-$247.00 <br />Extender Cards 94.00 <br />50 reels recording tape 1,750.00 <br />Total <br />14,787.00 <br />Dictaphone Company Bid was signed by William C. <br />Neick, non -collusion affidavit <br />was in order and a 10% bid <br />bond accompanied the bid. <br />Bid - Recorder -Reproducer <br />Automatic Gain Control Amplifier <br />High Speed Generator �. <br />.High Speed.Time Reader <br />Back Up Power Supply <br />Audible Alarm <br />Total <br />$8,289.40 <br />14,00 each - $280.00 <br />840.00 <br />770.00 <br />112,00 <br />35.00 <br />10,291.40 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the bids were referred to the Bureau of Fire for review <br />and recommendation. <br />OPTION ON PUMPER TRUCKS ACCEPTED <br />1 <br />The Board received a letter from Fire Chief Robert L. Snider <br />advising them that they would like the Board to accept the opti-on on the <br />pumper bid from Michiana Mack relating to the extension of the <br />front bumper. Mr. Farrand said it was the intent, when the bid <br />award was made, to include this option, but the wording of the <br />motion did not include it. The option will cost $317 per truck, <br />for a total of $951 and there is money in the appropriation to <br />cover this. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. <br />Brunner and carried, the option to the pumper bids for the extension <br />of the front bumper, at a total cost of $951 for the three trucks, <br />was accepted. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended installation of the following traffic control devices: <br />A. Installation of stop signs on Jefferson at Cherry. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the <br />installation was approved. <br />B. Two hour parking zone from 6:00 a.m, to 6:00 p.m. at <br />400 W. Wayne to bring this block into compliance with the <br />surrounding area. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, the installation ws approved. <br />C. 30 Minute Parking Zone, 604 South Eddy on South Street <br />to provide parking turnover for a newly opened professional <br />office. Upon motion made by Per. Farrand, seconded by <br />Mr. Mullen and carried, the installation was approved. <br />
