�V' REGULAR MEETING APRIL 5, 1976 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:30 a.m, on Monday, April 5, 1976 by President Rollin Farrand with Mr. Farrand, Mr. Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. Deputy City Attorney William Stanley was also present. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS 14EETING APPROVED Mr. Brunner reported to the Board that the minutes of.the March 29 meeting of the Board had been reviewed and were in order. He made a motion that the minutes be accepted as submitted. The motion was seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried. OPENING OF BIDS - BUREAU OF STREETS TRUCKS AND SPREADERS This was the date set for receiving bids for two tandem axle trucks and spreaders for the Bureau of Streets. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Michiana Mack, Inc. Bid was signed by Ronald I. Delcamp, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 10% bid bond was submitted. e+, Bid - Two 1976 Mack D11487S with hydraulic system and Hiway spreader - Unit Price $34,718 Total $69,436.00 Two 1976 MZCK D11685S with hydraulic system and Hiway spreader - Unit Price $36,503 Total $73,006.00 ►� Net - $60,406 Trade-in Allowance - $6,300 each - Total $12,600 1 Shamrock Ford Net - $56,836 Bid was signed by B. S. Tinkham, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a l0io bid bond was submitted. Bid - Two LT8000 Ford Truck with Hiway Spreader Unit Price - $32,259.11 Total $64,518.22 Trade-in Allowance - $6,500 each - Total $13,000.00 Net $51,518.22 International Harvester Bid was signed by P. J. Irwin, non - collusion affidavit was in order and a certified check was submitted. Bid - Two 1976 International F2050A each $29,866.65 Total $59,733.30 Two Hopper Type Spreaders each 4,083.00 Total 8,166.00 Trade-in Allowance - $9,100.00 Net Bid$58,799.30 McCormick Motors Bid was signed by Bernard I. Bear, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 10% bid bond was submitted. Bid - Per Unit - $33,605.75 Total $67,211.50 Trade-in Allowance $4,500 each - Total $9,000.00 Net Bid $56,211.50 Hoppers - Per Unit $4,083.00 - Total $8,166.-0 Trade-in Allowance $300 each - Total $600 - Net Bid - $7,566.00 Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bids were referred to t1je Bureau of Streets for review and recommendation.
