REGULAR MEETING NOVETZBER 24, 1975 This ordinance provides that the free parking cannot be instituted until funds have been provided to reimburse the Parking Garage Fund. Please be advised that free parking will not be instituted in accordance with this ordinance until the funding provisions of the ordinance have been approved by the State Board of Accounts. As soon as the City is advised by the State that this, funding as provided for in the ordinance has been approved, free parking will be instituted in accordance with the ordinance. Mr. Farrand noted that the purpose of the letter was to be sure there was no confusion about the matter and that motorists be advised that they could not park free on Monday nights and Saturdays until the matter of funding had been clarified. SOLID WASTE PICK-UP FOR THANKSGIVING WEEK Mr. Farrand announced that because of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Thursday solid waste pick-up for this week will be made on Friday and the Friday route pick-up will be made on Saturday. RIVER BEND PLAZA APPLICATION APPROVED Douglas Simpson, Director, River Bend Plaza, submitted an application to the Board from the Washington High School Freshman Class to sell bicentennial stationery on the Plaza on November 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mr. Simpson recommended the application favorably. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the application subject to clearance with Gwen Stiver, Chairman of the Bicentennial Committee. CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE FILED Certificates of Insurance from the South Bend Symphony and the Mental Health Association were received. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the certificates were ordered filed. BONDS APPROVED Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that the Contractor's bond of Bruno Cataldo d/b/a Bruno Construction could be approved to 10/29/76 and that the Contractor's Bond of Hartman Builders, Inc. could be approved to 1/l/77. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bonds were approved to the dates listed. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage report for the period of November 14 through 20 was received. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the report was ordered filed.
