However, it <br />was not a bid. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid was referred to <br />the Police Department for review and recommendation. <br />PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUED - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3419, 1975 <br />DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT <br />This was the date set for a continuation of the Public Hearing on <br />Vacation Resolution No. 3419, 1975 for the vacation of all streets, <br />alleys and lots not previously vacated in the proposed replat, <br />of River Bend Addition. Mr. Farrand advised the Board that he had <br />been contacted by Kevin Butler, Attorney for the Department of <br />Redevelopment. Mr. Butler advised him that he is still seeking <br />signatures from.two property owners on the petition to vacate <br />and would like the matter continued until they are able to obtain <br />the signatures. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the public <br />hearing on the Vacation Resolution was continued until December 8, 1975. <br />FILING OF ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3423, 1975 <br />INDIANA UNIVERSITY AT SOUTH BEND <br />Rollin E. Farrand, P. E., City Engineer, files with the Board an <br />Assessment Roll for Vacation Resolution No. 3423 for the vacation of <br />the north -south alley from Mishawaka Avenue to Vine Street, running <br />parallel to and,located west of 20th Street, City of South Bend; <br />and the east -west alley running west from 20th Street to and inter- <br />secting the alley described above, said alley being north of Lot 9 <br />of Shanks 2nd Addition, City of South Bend; and the east -west alley <br />running west from 20th Street to and intersecting the alley described <br />first above, said alley being south of Lot 7 of Shanks 2nd Addition, <br />City of South Bend. <br />The following property may be innuriously or beneficially affected by <br />such vacation: Lots 7 through 12 of Shank's 2nd Addition and Lots <br />25 through 30 of Hammond & Whitcombs 2nd Addition. Also an unplatted <br />tract of land running from Mishawaka Avenue south to Ruskin Street, <br />west and adjacent of the north and south alley running from Mishawaka <br />Avenue south to Ruskin Street, in the NE 4, Section 18, T37N, R3E. <br />The Board finds that each of said lots have been benefited in the <br />amount of $0.00.and damaged in the amount of $0.00. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board filed the Assessment <br />Roll and set Monday, December 29, 1975 at 9:30 a.m, as the time <br />and the Board of Works Hearing Room as the place where all persons <br />interested in or affected by such vacation may be heard. <br />1 <br />
