X �7, REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 6, 1975 PARKING RESTRICTION APPROVED-- MISHAWAKA AVENUE AT IRONWOOD The following recommendation was received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting: "To -Board of Public Works Re: Parking Restrictions Mishawaka at Ironwood With the closing of the Logan Street bridge, the traffic patterns on Mishawaka Avenue, especially, have been confused as drivers have tried to determine another route to take. During this time period, the north side of Mishawaka Avenue approaching Ironwood from the east, has been temporarily signed "No Parking". A traffic count has been made of this area and periods of congestion have been determined. It is recommended that signage be installed restricting parking from 7 A.M. to 9 A.M. and from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. Mondays thru Fridays. It is further recommended that the time periods of 9 AM and 2 PM Monday through Friday and 6AM to 6PM on Saturday be 1 hour parking. The above restrictions during the morning and evening rush hour, it is felt, will relieve the congestion caused by left turning vehicles from the east heading south across the Ironwood Bridge. The accompanying time limit parking will accommodate the businesses in the area and allow their customers a time period to park. s/ Ralph Wadzinski, Manager Bureau of Traffic and Lighting Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the recommendation for the parking restrictions was approved. BONDS APPROVED Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that the following bonds were properly executed and could be approved. Contractor's Bond for Douglas Deckard to 9/11/76 Excavation Bond for Joe Procaccino, Inc. to 9/25/76 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bonds were approved to the dates listed. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage Report for the period of September 25 through October 1 was received. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the report was ordered filed. SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - CREST MANOR SEWERS, ABSHIRE, RALEIGH AND CAMBRIDGE The Title Sheet approving the plans for the construction of the Crest Manor Sanitary Sewers, on Abshire, Raleigh and Cambridge, was submitted to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the title sheet approving the plans was signed by the Board. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - CREST MANOR SEWERS Mr. Farrand requested that the Board approve advertising for bids for construction of the Crest Manor Sanitary Sewers, on Abshire, Raleigh and Cambridge Drives, as authorized under Improvement Resolution No. 3420, 1975. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request and directed the Clerk to advertise for bids with sealed bids to be received on October 20, 1975.
