I o z: <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 6, 1975 <br />REQUEST FOR BILLBOARD ON STREET ON OCTOBER 11 APPROVED <br />The Republican City Committee submitted a request to the Board to <br />place a mobile billboard in front of 315 W. Jefferson Blvd. on <br />the night of October 11, 1975 on the occasion of the Republican Ball. <br />Upon.motion made, seconded and carried, the request was approved. <br />REQUEST TO INVESTIGATE SPEEDING PROBLEM ON MIAMI STREET <br />Mr. Barcome asked that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting investigate <br />the traffic problem on Miami Street, between Ridgedale and Ireland <br />Road, with consideration.to be given to the installation of some kind <br />of a caution light, perhaps at Byron Drive. Mr. Barcome said the <br />speeding problem is serious and he wants to avoid the possibility <br />of serious injury. He noted that the Police Department picked up <br />a number of speeders last week end on that stretch and he asked <br />that Captain Sweitzer continue to monitor the area for speeders. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was referred to <br />the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic <br />Detail for a field check and recommendation to the Board. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at <br />10:10 a.m. <br />ATTES <br />Patricia DeClercq, Cletk <br />lin E.
