REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 4, 1975 <br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />The first East-West alley south of Madison Street, <br />between Lots 171 and 172 in the Original Plat <br />of South Bend, running from Michigan Street West <br />165 Feet to East right of way line of_N.orth-South <br />alley. <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the <br />Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana to construct and maintain <br />any facilities, including, but not limited to, the following: <br />electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer, surface water control <br />structures and ditches, within the vacated right of way, unless <br />such rights are released by the individual Utilities. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected <br />by such vacation: <br />Lots 171 and 172 1n the Original Plat of South Bend. <br />Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 15th and 22nd <br />day of August, 1975 in the South Bend Tribune and in the Tri-County <br />News. <br />This Board, at its office on the 8th day of September., 1975, at <br />9:30 o'clock, A.M. will hear and receive remonstrances from all <br />persons interested in or affected by these proceedings. <br />Adopted this 4th day of August, 1975. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ Rollin E. Seitz <br />ATTEST: <br />s/ Patricia DeClercq <br />REQUEST DENIED TO HANG BANNER OVER MIAMI STREET AT CALVERT <br />The Board received a request from Ralph Andrea Carpets, Inc. to <br />hang a sign over Miami Street at Calvert Street in connection <br />with an Anniversary Sale. It was noted that this is a violation <br />of the Municipal Code, Section 3-5. Upon motion made,seconded <br />and carried, the request was denied. <br />APPLICATION APPROVED - RIVER BEND PLAZA R.E.A.L. SERVICES <br />The Board received an application from R.E.A.L. Services to have <br />a display booth on River Bend Plaza on August 7. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the application was approved. <br />BONDS APPROVED <br />Ray S.Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that <br />the following bonds had been reviewed and could be approved: <br />Carl J. Reinke and Sons to August 4, 1976 - Contractor's Bond <br />Circle Lumber Company to August 31, 1976 - Contractor's Bond <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bonds were approved to <br />the dates listed. <br />
