' /yet' �z <br />�k `rS <br />REGULAR MEETING IJULY 25, 1977 <br />PARADE APPROVED - SATURDAY,;JUI:Y30 <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />reported to the Board that the request of the Mis awaka lst Nazarene <br />Church for a Vacation Bible School Parade on Ju13 30, beginning <br />at the Church property and continuing,through the River ,Park area, <br />to end at Pottawatomi Park had been.reviewed with Captain Sweitzer <br />of the Police Department Traffic.Detail. The route is acceptable <br />and Mr. Wadzinski recommended approval. A Certificate of Insurance <br />for the parade is on file with the Board. Upon m tion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the` arade was approved. <br />WATCH CHILDREN SIGN APPROVED - 5600 RALEIGH DRIVE <br />In response to a request from Mrs. Anthony Sergio for the installation <br />of Watch Children signs in the 5600 block Raleigh Drive, the Board <br />requested an investigation by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />advised the Board by memorandum that the signs ha e been installed. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr, Erunner and <br />carried, the report was filed. <br />REQUEST TO ALLOW PARKING FOR POTPOURRI ART FAIR A PROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />reported to the Board that he had reviewed the re uest of the <br />Potpourri to allow parking on Lincolnway East (U.. 33) from Miami <br />to Ironwood on August 6 and 7 for their loth Annu 1 Art Fair. <br />Approval has been given by the Indiana State High ay Commission as <br />confirmed by Mr. Wadzinski. Mr. Wadzinski and Captain Sweitzer of <br />the Police Department Traffic Detail have no objection to the <br />approval of the request, with the area involved tc be modified at <br />the discretion of the traffic captain to the area between Miami <br />and Twyckenham and with the understanding that th re be no blocking <br />of private driveways in the area. Upon motion ma e by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommen ation was approved. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA REQUESTS APPROVED <br />Mary Kay Huszar, Director of River Bend Plaza, su itted the <br />following applications to the Board along with he favorable <br />recommendation. <br />A. YWCA Summer Ceta Program - Dance Program on August 2.from <br />12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Upon motion made by Mr. M sahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, the application was approved. <br />B. Harvest Festival sponsored by REAL Services - on -food <br />merchandise and handmade craft booths on Thursday, August <br />4 from 10:00 a.m, to 4:00 p.m. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the application <br />was approved, subject to the filing of the necessary insurance <br />and securing of a vending license. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS SCHEDULED - REVENUE SHARING.APPROP IATIONS <br />The Board received a request from Peter H. Mullen, City Controller, <br />that public hearings be scheduled for revenue sharing appropriations <br />for the following items: <br />1. $8,000 for recent medical expenses <br />2. $94,700 for Street Department vehicles <br />3. $6,500 for rehabilitation of the Legal De artment Offices. <br />
