' /yet' �z �k `rS REGULAR MEETING IJULY 25, 1977 PARADE APPROVED - SATURDAY,;JUI:Y30 Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported to the Board that the request of the Mis awaka lst Nazarene Church for a Vacation Bible School Parade on Ju13 30, beginning at the Church property and continuing,through the River ,Park area, to end at Pottawatomi Park had been.reviewed with Captain Sweitzer of the Police Department Traffic.Detail. The route is acceptable and Mr. Wadzinski recommended approval. A Certificate of Insurance for the parade is on file with the Board. Upon m tion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the` arade was approved. WATCH CHILDREN SIGN APPROVED - 5600 RALEIGH DRIVE In response to a request from Mrs. Anthony Sergio for the installation of Watch Children signs in the 5600 block Raleigh Drive, the Board requested an investigation by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, advised the Board by memorandum that the signs ha e been installed. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr, Erunner and carried, the report was filed. REQUEST TO ALLOW PARKING FOR POTPOURRI ART FAIR A PROVED Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported to the Board that he had reviewed the re uest of the Potpourri to allow parking on Lincolnway East (U.. 33) from Miami to Ironwood on August 6 and 7 for their loth Annu 1 Art Fair. Approval has been given by the Indiana State High ay Commission as confirmed by Mr. Wadzinski. Mr. Wadzinski and Captain Sweitzer of the Police Department Traffic Detail have no objection to the approval of the request, with the area involved tc be modified at the discretion of the traffic captain to the area between Miami and Twyckenham and with the understanding that th re be no blocking of private driveways in the area. Upon motion ma e by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommen ation was approved. RIVER BEND PLAZA REQUESTS APPROVED Mary Kay Huszar, Director of River Bend Plaza, su itted the following applications to the Board along with he favorable recommendation. A. YWCA Summer Ceta Program - Dance Program on August 2.from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Upon motion made by Mr. M sahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the application was approved. B. Harvest Festival sponsored by REAL Services - on -food merchandise and handmade craft booths on Thursday, August 4 from 10:00 a.m, to 4:00 p.m. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the application was approved, subject to the filing of the necessary insurance and securing of a vending license. PUBLIC HEARINGS SCHEDULED - REVENUE SHARING.APPROP IATIONS The Board received a request from Peter H. Mullen, City Controller, that public hearings be scheduled for revenue sharing appropriations for the following items: 1. $8,000 for recent medical expenses 2. $94,700 for Street Department vehicles 3. $6,500 for rehabilitation of the Legal De artment Offices.
