REGULAR MEETING JULY 25, 1977 <br />Mr. Mullen noted that the amount requested for the Legal Department <br />Offices should be changed to $7,500. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request for <br />revenue sharing appropriation for the rehabilitation of the Legal <br />Department Offices was'changed to $7,500. Upon motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon., seconded byMr-:and carried, the Board authorized <br />advertising for public hearings on the revenue sharing appropriations, <br />as amended, with the hearings to be held on Monday, August 8 at <br />9:30 a.m. Senior Citizens groups are to be notified of the public <br />hearings and the proper appropriation ordinances are to be filed with <br />the Common Council <br />CLAIMS APPROVED <br />Walter F. Lantz, Deputy City Controller, and Michael L. Vance, City <br />Auditor, submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 12515 through 13072 <br />and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers <br />12515 through 13072 and directed that checks in payment be issued. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Streetlight Outage Report for the period July 11 through July 22 <br />was submitted to the Board. The report indicated 104 outages. <br />Upon motion made by Mr, McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the report was ordered filed. <br />PETITION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SEWER ON PROSPECT STREET FILED <br />A petition signed by four property owners for the construction of a <br />sanitary sewer on Prospect Street, from Calvert Street to Delaware <br />Street, was filed with the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the petition was filed and <br />referred to the Bureau of Design and Administration for preliminary <br />review and preparation of plans, preliminary assessment roll and <br />an engineer's estimate. Some residents of the area were present <br />and expressed their concern about raw sewage being pumped on the <br />ground in the area. They noted there are five property owners involved <br />in the area and four signed the petition. The Board directed that <br />their complaint regarding the raw sewage should be turned over to the <br />County Health Department. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ANNOUNCED - REVENUE SHARING APPROPRATION OF $1.850 <br />The Board noted that a public hearing has been scheduled for Monday, <br />August 1 on a revenue sharing appropration of $1,850 for the animal <br />control project. The appropriation ordinance has been filed with <br />the Common Council and Senior Citizens groups will be notified of <br />the hearing, in accordance with the guidelines set for such appropriations. <br />CONTRACT APPROVED - PAINTING OF JEFFERSON STREET PARKING GARAGE <br />A contract with A. Hartke & Son, Inc. for the painting of the Jefferson <br />Street Parking Garage, in accordance with the bid accepted by the Board, <br />was prepared and signed by D. A. Hartke. The Performance Bond has <br />been submitted. The contract was signed and the performance bond filed <br />with the Board. <br />
