REGULAR MEETING JULY 18, 1977 <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended the following traffic control devices: <br />A. Revise No Parking Sign to No Parking 6 PM to 6 AM on the <br />West side of Hill Street from a point 30 feet North of <br />South Bend Avenue to the N.P.L. of 525 North Hill. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />B. Remove 2 Hour Parking 6 AM to 6 PM on the West side of the <br />South 2 of 400 S. Taylor. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation <br />was approved. <br />C. Revise Yield Sign to Stop Sign at the Southeast corner <br />on Fremont at Bertrand. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation <br />was approved. <br />PURCHASE AGREEMENTS ACCEPTED - SALE OF 125 AND 114 NORTH ADAMS <br />All procedures required by the Municipal Code for the sale of <br />City -owned property have been completed in regard to the lots <br />at 125 North Adams and 114 North Adams. Purchase Agreements were <br />prepared by Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone and transmitted <br />to prospective purchaser, St. John's Missionary Baptist Church, <br />at a total price of $432.00 for 125 North Adams and $840.00 for <br />114 North Adams. Major Qualls, Trustee, St. John's Missionary <br />Baptist Church, has signed the purchase agreements and they are <br />now submitted to the Board for approval. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded and carried, the Board approved the purchase <br />agreements and referred them to Mr. Crone for preparation of the <br />deeds and final closing. <br />PURCHASE AGREEMENT ACCEPTED - SALE OF 5272 LELAND AVENUE <br />All procedures required by the Municipal Code for the sale of <br />City -owned property have been completed in regard to the lot at <br />5272 Leland Avenue. Purchase Agreements were prepared by Deputy <br />City Attorney Terry A. Crone and transmitted to the prospective <br />purchaser, Jean Gabbard, at a total price of $233.00. Jean <br />Gabbard has signed the purchase agreement and it is now submitted <br />to the Board for approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />and carried, the Board approved the purchase agreement and referred <br />it to Mr. Crone for preparation of the deed and final closing. <br />UARTERLY REPORT - SERVICES RENDERED UNDER CONTRACT WITH Y.W.C.A. <br />Jane J. Cobb, Executive Director for the Y.W.C.A. submitted to the <br />Board of Public Works a Quarterly Report for services rendered <br />under the contract between the City of South Bend and the Y.W.C.A. <br />from April 1 through June 30, 1977. The report stated the goals, <br />objectives and measurable results for the YWCA Residence Program, <br />YWCA Woman's Center, YWCA Extended Pre -School Program and the YWCA <br />Youth Program. It also included reports on additional programs at <br />the YWCA such as the Adult Education Class Program and Early Learning <br />for Children and the Summer Youth Program which provides summer jobs <br />to 100 teenagers. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. <br />Mullen and carried, the report was filed and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's Office for payment. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA APPLICATIONS APPROVED <br />Mary Kay Huszar, Director, River Bend Plaza, submitted to the Board <br />the following applications with her favorable recommendation: <br />
