REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 11, 1977 <br />Lafayette Blvd. to LaSalle Street to Williams Street to Colfax <br />Avenue, with the stipulation that the date and time of day be <br />determined by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police <br />Department Traffic Detail. Mr. Brunner seconded the motion and it <br />carried. <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR GRAPHICS AT CENTURY CENTER <br />A contract with North American Signs for Interior and Exterior <br />Graphics at Century Center was prepared in accordance with the bid <br />awarded by the Board. The contract was reviewed by Deputy City <br />Attorney Terry A. Crone and has been executed by officials of North <br />American Signs. A performance bond has been submitted with the <br />contract. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the contract was approved. <br />BID AWARDED - MAPLE LANE SEWER PROJECT <br />The Bureau of Design and Administration prepared a bid tabulation <br />of all bids received for the Maple Lane Storm Sewer Project and <br />submitted it to the Board along with a recommendation to accept the <br />low bid of H. DeWulf Mechanical Contractor, Inc. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board accepted <br />the recommendation and awarded the bid for the Maple Lane Storm <br />Sewer Project to H. DeWulf Mechanical Contractor, Inc. on their low <br />bid of $218,712.50. <br />RECOMMENDATION TO ACCEPT PROJECT M6000(16) ACCEPTED <br />The Board received a notice of completion of Project M6000(16) <br />for the work at sixteen intersections in South Bend by the Indiana State <br />Highway Commission. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting, reported to the Board that all work has been <br />completed and the signals are in operation. The project is now <br />recommended for approval by Patrick M. McMahon, Director of Public Works, <br />and the local inspectors and will now be submitted to the Indiana State <br />Highway Commission for concurrence. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />REQUEST -FOR PARADE FILED <br />The Board received a request from William Welsheimer, Potentate of <br />Orak Temple, for a parade to be held on November 12, 1977. The <br />proposed parade route and a Certificate of Insurance were :submitted <br />with the request. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. <br />Brunner and carried, the request was filed and referred to the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Detail <br />for review and recommendation. <br />PURCHASE AGREEMENT ACCEPTED - SALE OF 513 E. SOUTH STREET <br />All procedures required by the Municipal Code for the sale of City -owned <br />property have been completed in regard to the lot at 513 E. South Street. <br />A purchase agreement was prepared by Deputy City Attorney Terry A. <br />Crone and transmitted to prospective purchaser, James A. Fenters, at a <br />total price of $660.00. Mr. Fenters has signed the purchase agreement <br />and it is now submitted to the Board for approval. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved <br />the purchase agreement and referred it to Mr. Crone for preparation of <br />the deed and final closing. <br />COUNTER-OFFER RECEIVED FOR SALE OF 923 E. BOWMAN <br />A purchase agreement for the sale of a city -owned lot at 923 E. Bowman <br />at a total price of $999.00 was prepared by the Legal Department and <br />submitted to prospective purchaser, Donald Kintner. Mr. Kintner <br />advised the Board by letter that he has invested $400 in cleaning and <br />
