--'=,,, 1 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 9, 1977 <br />REQUEST FOR PARADE BY CHET WAGGONER LITTLE LEAGUE FILED <br />The Board received a request from the Chet Waggoner Little League <br />for permission to hold a parade on Saturday, Play 21, 1977. The <br />proposed route was attached. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the request was filed and referred <br />to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHT FILED <br />A request signed by several residents of the 2300 block Clyde <br />Street was submitted to the Board in support of installation of <br />a street light in the block to curb vandalism in the area. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. .McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the <br />request was filed and referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />for review and recommendation. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended approval of the following traffic control devices. <br />A. No Parking on the West side of Leeper Avenue, from North Shore <br />to a point approximately 130' north of North Shore. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the installation was approved. <br />B. No Parking, West side of Hill Street, to include area from Cedar, <br />North to SPL of 529 Hill, approximately 75' north of South Bend <br />Avenue. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the installation was approved. <br />C. No Parking or Stopping in east -west alley between Main and Michigan, <br />adjacent to 2613 S. Michigan. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the installation was approved. <br />D. 30 Minute Parking Limit, 6 A.M. to 6 P.M., 2102 S. Michigan <br />Street. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the installation was approved. <br />E. No Parking, South Side of Pennsylvania Avenue, 900 and 1000 blocks. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the installation was approved. <br />F. No Parking, East side of 400 N. St. Louis, between Receiving <br />and Emergency Entrance - St. Joseph Hospital. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the installation <br />was approved. <br />G. No Turn on Red - Mishawaka and Twyckenl.Lam, on the northwest <br />corner facing east and on the southeast corner facing west. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the installation was approved. <br />H. No Turn on Red -_Mishawaka and Greenlawn, on the northwest corner <br />facing east and the southeast corner facing west. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />installation was approved. <br />REQUEST FOR PARKING AND TRAFFIC CONTROL FOR ETHNIC FESTIVAL <br />The Board received a request from Mary Kay Huszar, Director, River <br />Bend Plaza for parking and traffic control for the Ethnic Festival <br />July 2, 3 and 4. Mr. McMahon made a motion that the request be <br />referred to the Department of Engineering and the Controller for <br />review and coordination of the requests, with a report to be made <br />next Monday. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried. <br />
