REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 11, 1977 <br />The results of this decision to re-sign as opposed to the <br />installation of a 4-Bay Stop are shown below: <br />A. Accidents one year prior to re-signing: <br />5-29-75 to 5-28-76 - 11 property damage, 2 injuries, <br />13 total <br />B. Re-signing completed 5-28-76 <br />C. Accidents after re-signing: <br />5-29-76 to 4-6-77,- 3 property damage, 1 injury, 4 total. <br />D. It appears at this time that the re-signing resulted in <br />a 70% reduction in accidents, including during a notably <br />severe winter, without undue delay to the motoring public. <br />With the advent of clement weather, this Bureau will continue <br />its observation of this intersection. A request will be <br />made to the Traffic Division for continued enforcement of the <br />"No Parking Tow Zone". <br />S/ Ralph J. Wadzinski <br />Manager, Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting <br />Upon motion rlade by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the report was ordered filed. <br />BONDS APPROVED <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board <br />that bonds submitted by the Ziolkowski Construction Company <br />are properly executed and can be approved. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Contractor's Bond and <br />Excavation Bond for Ziolkowski Construction Company were approved <br />and filed with the Board. <br />BOPIDS RELEASED <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that <br />he had reviewed requests from Surety Companies to release the bonds <br />of the ABC Plumbing Company and Scott's Construction Company. <br />The Companies have no outstanding permits and Mr. Andrysiak said <br />he would recommend release of the bonds. Mr. Mullen made a motion <br />that the bond of the ABC Plumbing Company be released, effective <br />May 5, 1977 and the bond of Scott's Construction Company be released <br />effective Play 4, 1977. Mr. Brunner seconded the notion and it carried. <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED <br />A Certificate or Insurance from E-Rect-O, Inc. was submitted to the <br />Board. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the Certificate was ordered filed. <br />CLAIMS APPROVED <br />Walter F. Lantz, Deputy City Controller, and Michael L. Vance, City <br />Auditor, submitted to the Boay-d Claim Docket Numbers 5591 through <br />5955 and recor_uiended approval. Mr. Mullen glade a motion that the <br />Board approve Claims 5591 through 5955 and checks for payment be <br />issued. Mr. Brunner seconded the notion and it carried. <br />
