REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 11, 1977 <br />INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTS APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Brunner asked the reason for the removal of the lights listed. <br />Josep4 Pluta,.Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, said the lights removed <br />are in areas which were improved with new traffic signals recently. <br />In those.cases, the mast arms for the signals also included new street <br />lights, so the old ones can be removed. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, <br />seconded by Mr..Brunner and carried, the recommendations were approved. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended the following traffic devices be installed or removed: <br />A. Removal of Yield Sign and Installation of Stop Sign on <br />Berkshire at York Road <br />B. Installation of stop sign on Georgian at York Road <br />C. Installation of Yield Sign on Riding Mall at York Road <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the recommendations were approved. <br />REPORT OF STUDY OF CORBY-NOTRE DAME INTERSECTION <br />The Board received the following report: <br />Re: Corby and Notre Dame <br />"During May of 1976, the above intersection was studied for the <br />installation of a "4-Way Stop". At that time, the required <br />volume "warrants" were not satisfied. Noted, however, was the <br />mounting accident experience. <br />As a result of the study, revised and new "Cross Traffic Does <br />Not Stop" signs were installed on Corby replacing the existing <br />signage. A request was also made to enforce the No Parking zones <br />surrounding the intersection. <br />1 <br />
