nm REGULAR MEE.LING APRIL 4, 1977 REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS TOR FIXED ,SEATING FOR CENTURY CENTER Patrick M. McMahon, Director of Public Works, submitted his request that the Board approve advertising for fixed seating for Century Center_. Mr. McMahon noted that this item was included in the original budget in the amount of $77,000. fie asked that bids be advertised on April 8 and 15, with sealed bids to be received by the Board at its regular meeting on April 25, 1977. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board approved the request to advertise for bids for fixed seating for Century Center. BOND RELEASED - BUD'S CONCRETE CONTRACTOR Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that he had reviewed a request of the surety company to release the Contractor's Bond of Bud's Concrete Contractor and he found no reason to retain the bond. Mr. McMahon made a motion that the bond be released. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried. NOTIFICATION OF NAME CHANGE ON BOND TO I14DIANA CABLEVISION CORPORATION The Board received notification from the American States Insurance Company that the Excavation Bond on file with the Board in the name of Valley Cablevision Corporation should now reflect a name change of the principal to Indiana Cablevision Corporation. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the notification was filed and will be attached to the bond. STREET .LIGi OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage Report for the period of March 28 through April 1 was filed with the Board. The report indicated sixty-nine outages. Upon notion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the report was ordered filed. SOUTH BENDPARKING LOT RATE CHANGES TABLED The Board received notification from the South Bend Parking Company that they were increasing rates at several of their open parking lots. This notification was tabled without action at Mr. Mullen's request pending receipt of payment from the Parking Company of the Code requirement of $1.00 per parking space per lot for licensing. Mr. Mullen noted that the matter is still under review by the Legal Department and he recommended that the Board take no action on the notification until they are advised by the Legal Department that the matter has been resolved. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS Walter F. Lantz, Deputy City Controller, and Michael L. Vance, City. Auditor, submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 5247 through 5590 and recommended approval. Mr. McMahon made a motion that the claims be approved and checks for payment issued. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried. BOND APPROVED - DAVID FORDYCE A contractor's bond in the name of David Fordyce was submitted to the Board for filing with the recommendation of Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, that the bond could be approved, subject to receipt of Mr. Ford -Ice's business address and telephone number. Upon notion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board -approved the bond, subject to receipt of the necessary information regarding the principal.
