1-4 0,
REGULAR MEETING
APRIL 4, 1977
DISCUSSION: MEMORIAL HOSPITAL PARKI14G AND REMOVAL OF BARRICADE
AT MICHIGAN STREET AND MARION STREET
Mrs. Janet Allen, 125 W. Marion Street, requested that the Board
review past commitments made by Merorial Hospital in previous parking
lot construction. She noted that the hospital had agreed to pave
and screen the parking areas and this has not been done. She said
she would like the Board to review this matter in light of the
petition filed today for the vacation of additional alleys to provide
parking for the hospital. Mr. McMahon directed that the Bureau of
Traffic and Lighting and the Bureau of Buildings be asked to check
their records for any past agreements involving screening of parking
areas at Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Allen also inquired about the progress on removal of the
barricades at Michigan Street and. Marion Street and said traffic would
increase in the area with the advent of good weather. Mr. McMahon
said the project cannot be started until the State Board of Accounts
has approved the appropriation. The Common Council approved the
funding.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon
motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the
meeting adjourned at, 10:30 a.m.
trick P'i.
