Memorial Day Parade on Play 30, sponsored by the St. Joseph <br />County Memorial Society <br />B. Hope Chapel Church of.God - Bible School'Opening Day Parade <br />on June 11 <br />Upon notion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the requests were filed and referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. <br />LETTER REQUESTING REPAIR OF ANGELA RAILROAD CROSSING <br />The Board received a request from E. C. Rossow, 906 Beale Street, <br />that the railroad crossing at Angela Boulevard, just west of <br />Michigan Street be repaired. Mr. McMahon noted that the City <br />concurs that repairs should be made but said the City has no <br />jurisdiction over the crossing which is railroad right-of-way. <br />PZr. McMahon made a motion that the request be filed and referred <br />to the railroad whose property is involved and that Mr. Rossow <br />be advised of the Board's action. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion <br />and it carried. <br />REPORT ON PETITION OF THE BENDIX CORPORATION TO VACATE A PORTION <br />OF KALEY STREET AND AN ALLEY <br />The Division of Engineering reported that:. they reviewed the petition <br />of The Bendix Corporation to vacate Kaley Street from the south <br />right-of-way line of Kenwood Avenue to the north right-of-way line of <br />Linden Avenue, a distance of 270 feet; also the east -west alley <br />between Kenwood Avenue and Linden Avenue, running east from the <br />east right-of-way line of Kaley Street to the west right-of-way line <br />of the north -south alley between ' Kaley Street and Meade Street, a <br />distance of 130 feet. The report indicated no objection to the <br />proposed vacation subject to existing utility easements. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the <br />report was ordered filed and the petition was referred to the Area <br />Plan Commission for their review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST FOR WIDENING OF FELLOWS STREET FILED <br />The Board received a request from Mrs. Irving Minkow, 108 S. Notre <br />Dame, that consideration be given to the widening of the 1300 block <br />S. Fellows Street. Mr. McMahon noted that the street is narrow in <br />the area and there is no parking allowed. He said the right-of-way <br />in the area is also narrow. Mr. McMahon made a motion that the <br />letter be referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the <br />Bureau of Design and Administration for review and recommendation. <br />
