REGULAR PiEETING APRIL 4, 1977 BID ACCEPTED - STREET DEPARTMENT, FLUSHERS The Board received a recommendation from John Baumgartner, Assistant Street Commission, as follows: "It is my recommendation the Board award the bid as submitted for the Two (2) street flushers to International Harvester for $58,394.52. With the exception of the high bid, International followed the specifications with the fewest exceptions. After reviewing the specifications, James Meehan, Manager of Vehicle Maintenance, concurs with my recommendation. s/ John Baumgartner Assistant Street Commissioner " Mr. McMahon noted that one bid, Steel City Ford, came in lower than International. While the bid was approximately $170 lower, a review of the bid determined that it was not responsive to the bid specifications with regard to the chassis weight and engine requirerlents. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board approved the recommendation to accept the bid of International Harvester to supply two flushers at a total bid price of $58,394.52. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 5, 1977 - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the following resolution was adopted by the Board; RESOLUTION NO. 5, 1977 WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has compiled a current detailed inventory of all real property owned by the City of South Bend, Indiana, pursuant to Section 30 A-1 of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said inventory of real property and it now finds that certain of the parcels of real estate now owned by the City are not necessary to the public use and are not set aside by state or city law for public purposes, pursuant to Section 30 A-2 of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take the necessary action .to make it possible for the Board, in the future, to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant to Chapter 30 A of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: 1. That the parcels of real estate owned by the City, contained in the following list, are not necessary to the public use are are not set aside by state or city law for public purposes: Street Address 235 N. Studebaker 1310 Fassnacht 517 S. Rush 614 S. Rush 618 S. Rush 621 S. Rush 622 S. Rush 722 S. Rush 508 E. South 114 W.
