-34 <br />REGULAR 1EETING MARCH 25,. 1977 <br />An offering sheet for each, property is on file and available <br />for inspection by any interested bidders in the Office of the <br />Board, 1303 County-Cit;T Building, South Bend, Indiana. <br />The Board will receive sealed bids at not less than the.offering <br />price until the 25th day of April, 1977 at 9:30 o'clock, A.M. <br />Bids will be opened by the Board at its office on the 25th day <br />of April, 1977 at 9:30 o'clock A.M. <br />The Board shall award the sale of the property to the highest <br />and best bid equal to not less than the offering price. <br />The terms of the sale are cash at the date of closing, all title <br />and abstract costs to be paid by the purchaser, and the City <br />will execute its Quit-Clair-z Deed to the property. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ Patrick Pl. Mullen, City <br />Controller, <br />recommended <br />that the Board <br />accept the high bid of <br />Bremen Iron <br />and Metal <br />Company to purchase <br />forte -five abandoned vehicles at a <br />total bid <br />of $2,612.00. <br />Mr. ilcPlahon made a notion <br />that the <br />Board accept <br />the recommendation <br />and award the sale of <br />the vehicles <br />to Bremen <br />Iron and Metal <br />Company. for $2,612.00. <br />Mr. Brunner <br />seconded <br />the motion and it <br />carried. <br />REPORT ON PETITION TO <br />VACATE EAST-ITEST <br />ALLEY <br />BETWEEN MICHIGAN <br />AND Sri'. JOSEPH STREET <br />FILED <br />The Board received a report from the Bureau of Design and <br />Administration that the petition of Feferman Motor Sales, Inc. <br />to vacate the east -`-nest alley south of South Street and north <br />of Bronson Street, between Michigan and St. Joseph Street, had <br />been reviewed. The report indicated that the Bureau had no <br />objection to the vacation, subject to any existing utility easements. <br />Upon notion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the report was filed and the petition was referred to the <br />Area Plan Comrsiission for their review and recommendation. <br />REPORT ON PETITION TO VACATE THE SECOND ALLEY SOUTH OF LINCOLIMAY <br />IXS L FROM OLTVE STREET EAST <br />The Board received a report from the Bureau of Design and <br />Administration that the petition of Dave's Gym to vacate the <br />second alley south of Lincolnway Ilest running from the east <br />right-of-way line of Olive Street east 125 feet to the west <br />right-of-way line of the north -south alley east of Olive Street <br />had been reviewed. The report indicated.the Bureau has no objection <br />to the proposed vacation, subject to existing utility easements in <br />the area. Upon motion made b�7 Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen <br />and carried, the report was filed and the petition was referred to <br />the Area Plan Commission for their review and recom-iendation. <br />
