REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 21, 1977 <br />FILING OF RESOLUTIONS FROM INDIANA STATE HIGHWAY COMISSION <br />The Board received resolutions adopted by the Indiana State <br />Highway Commission approving emergency flashing all red for <br />approaches at the following intersections: Western & Chapin, <br />Chapin & Sample, Western & Mayflower, Prairie and Indiana, and <br />Prairie and Dubail and Oliver. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the resolutions were <br />ordered filed. <br />MARCH OF D IPE S WALI:ATHON APPROVED - APRIL 16, 1977 <br />Ralph Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic -and Lighting, <br />reported that the request of the March of Dimes to hold a <br />Walkathon on April 16, 1977 had been reviewed with the Police <br />Department and the Civil Defense Department. The route is the <br />same_ one used in past years. Mr. Wadzinski recommended approval <br />of the Walkathon. A Certificate of Insurance for the event has <br />been filed with the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Walkathon was approved. <br />LETTEP. FP.OP1 VALLEY CABLEVI SIGN FILED <br />The Board received a letter from Gregory Giczi of Valley Cablevision, <br />Inc. reporting that the last address where radiation leaks were <br />said to be occurring had been corrected and the -problem resolved. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the letter was ordered filed. <br />BOND RELEASED - SU14SIII14E POOLS INC. <br />The Board received a report from Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of <br />Engineering, that he had -reviewed a request to release the Contractor's <br />Bond of Sunshine Pools, Inc., approved March 9, 1976. Mr. Andrysiak <br />said there are no outstanding permits and the bond can be released. <br />Mr. McMahon made a motion that the bond be released, effective <br />March 9, 1977. Mr. Brunner seconded the motion and it carried. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIPZS <br />Walter F. Lantz, Deputy City Controller, and Michael L. Vance, <br />City Auditor, submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 2133 <br />through 2843 and recommended( their approval. Mr. 11c1lahon -made <br />a notion that the claims be approved and checks for payment issued. <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage report for the period of February 14 <br />through 18 was received. The report indicated 37 outages. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr: Mullen and <br />carried, the report was ordered filed. ✓ <br />REQUEST TO USE PORTABLE DANCE FLOOD, APPROVED <br />The Board received a request from Re.ginald Bain of the Cooperative <br />Department of Speech and Drama of the Universitv of Notre Dame <br />to use a portable dance floor owned by the Morris Civic Auditorium <br />for a program on March 4, 5 and 6. Floyd Jessup was contacted <br />and indicated that this is a vinyl floor which comes in rolls and <br />it was cut to fit the Morris Civic Auditoriun stage. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board <br />approved the request, subject to coordinating arrangements with <br />Mr. Jessup and the return of the floor in good condition. <br />
