REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 21, 1977 FILING OF RESOLUTIONS FROM INDIANA STATE HIGHWAY COMISSION The Board received resolutions adopted by the Indiana State Highway Commission approving emergency flashing all red for approaches at the following intersections: Western & Chapin, Chapin & Sample, Western & Mayflower, Prairie and Indiana, and Prairie and Dubail and Oliver. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the resolutions were ordered filed. MARCH OF D IPE S WALI:ATHON APPROVED - APRIL 16, 1977 Ralph Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic -and Lighting, reported that the request of the March of Dimes to hold a Walkathon on April 16, 1977 had been reviewed with the Police Department and the Civil Defense Department. The route is the same_ one used in past years. Mr. Wadzinski recommended approval of the Walkathon. A Certificate of Insurance for the event has been filed with the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Walkathon was approved. LETTEP. FP.OP1 VALLEY CABLEVI SIGN FILED The Board received a letter from Gregory Giczi of Valley Cablevision, Inc. reporting that the last address where radiation leaks were said to be occurring had been corrected and the -problem resolved. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the letter was ordered filed. BOND RELEASED - SU14SIII14E POOLS INC. The Board received a report from Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, that he had -reviewed a request to release the Contractor's Bond of Sunshine Pools, Inc., approved March 9, 1976. Mr. Andrysiak said there are no outstanding permits and the bond can be released. Mr. McMahon made a motion that the bond be released, effective March 9, 1977. Mr. Brunner seconded the motion and it carried. APPROVAL OF CLAIPZS Walter F. Lantz, Deputy City Controller, and Michael L. Vance, City Auditor, submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 2133 through 2843 and recommended( their approval. Mr. 11c1lahon -made a notion that the claims be approved and checks for payment issued. The motion was seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage report for the period of February 14 through 18 was received. The report indicated 37 outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr: Mullen and carried, the report was ordered filed. ✓ REQUEST TO USE PORTABLE DANCE FLOOD, APPROVED The Board received a request from Re.ginald Bain of the Cooperative Department of Speech and Drama of the Universitv of Notre Dame to use a portable dance floor owned by the Morris Civic Auditorium for a program on March 4, 5 and 6. Floyd Jessup was contacted and indicated that this is a vinyl floor which comes in rolls and it was cut to fit the Morris Civic Auditoriun stage. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board approved the request, subject to coordinating arrangements with Mr. Jessup and the return of the floor in good condition.
