s, 0 <br />REGULAR 11EETING FEBRUARY 21, 1977 <br />ARTICLE REGARDING STUDEBAKER MUSEUM NOTED <br />Patrick McMahon noted that the February publication of the <br />Indiana Departrent of Commerce features an'article,on Indiana <br />museums and makes reference to,the Studebaker Museum in South <br />Bend and to the good job being done by Bill Flaherty in operating <br />the museum. Mr. McMahon said he wanted the Board to be advised <br />of the article and of the comments regarding `Mr. Flaherty. Ile <br />made a motion that the article be filed. PZr.,Brunner,seconded <br />the motion and it carried. <br />NO PAPaING ON MAIN STREET FROM WAYNE TO ti]ESTERN FOR LEFT TURN LANE <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />advised the Board that his Bureau in conjunction with the Bureau <br />of Engineering was proposing a change in parking on Main Street <br />for ninety days to establish a left turn lane. There will be no <br />parking on Main Street, between Wayne Street and Western Avenue <br />at certain times of day and on certain days of the week to allow for <br />a left turn only lane for cars turning east on Western. The no <br />parking will begin within the next few days from 3:00,p.nm, to 6:00 p.m. <br />Cones, signage and barricades will be used to mark the turn lane <br />to acquant motorists with the change. Mr. Wadzinski was asked if <br />turns would be allowed from the niddle lane and Mr. Wadzinski said <br />he was going to try to establish the left turn lane first.
