REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 7. 1977 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said <br />inventory of real property and it now finds that <br />certain of the parcels of real estate now owned by <br />the City are not necessary to the public use and <br />are not set aside by state or city law for any <br />public purposes pursuant to Section 30A-2 of the <br />Municipal Code of the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take the <br />necessary action to make it possible for the Board, <br />pursuant to Chapter 30A of the Municipal Code of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana;, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />1. That the parcels of real estate owned by the <br />City, contained in the following list, are not <br />necessary to the public use and are not set <br />aside by state or city law for public purposes: <br />Street Address Deed No. <br />722 E. Miner Street 689 <br />1624 S. Williams Street 720 <br />2. Mullen <br />ATTEST: <br />s/ Patricia DeClercq, Clerk <br />STATUS REPORT - REQUEST FOR SIGNALS AT OLIVE -PRAIRIE INTERSECTION <br />The Board had tabled the matter of a request to the Indiana State <br />Highway Commission for signals at the intersection of Olive and <br />Prairie Streets until this date. The Clerk was directed to write <br />to the Indiana State Highway Commission and request a status <br />report prior to today`s meeting. The Clerk advised the Board <br />that no response had been received from the state. Ralph Wadzinski, <br />Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported that lie <br />had just received information from the State on a similar request <br />for signals at McKinley and Manchester which was submitted to them <br />last August and said.six months was about the time needed for a <br />response. Mr. Brunner asked whether anything could be done to <br />expedite this matter and Mr. Wadzinski said personal contact could <br />be made with.the LaPorte District Office. Upon notion made by <br />Per. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board tabled <br />the matter for two weeks and directed that Mr. McMahon and/or <br />Mr. Wadzinski make personal contact with the LaPorte District Office <br />or the Indianapolis Office of the Indiana State Highway Cor.,mlission <br />to get a status report on the request. A report is to be made to <br />the Board on February 21, 1977. <br />1 <br />
