No Parking, north side of Indiana Avenue, from Miami to Leer <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by.Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the installations were approved. <br />P.ECO1,24ENDATION APPROVED - INTERSECTION OF GOLDEN AND WOODWARD <br />The Board received a report from Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, on his study of the intersection <br />of Golden and Woodward for the possible reversal of stop signs. Mr. <br />Wadzinski recommended that the Board approve the reversal of stop <br />signs fror.i Golden to Woodward, necessitating the temporary <br />installation of a multi -way stop from three to twelve months, to <br />familiarize motorists of the impending change. The recommendation <br />also included the removal of parking in the vicinity of the intersection <br />for distances of 30' approaching the stop sign and 20' on all other <br />approaches and exits, with these amounts possibly exceeded due to <br />the offset of the intersection. Upon notion made by11r. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved the recommendation. <br />CIIA14GE ORDER APPROVED - AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL PARK, PHASE IV <br />The Board received a Change Order for Airport Industrial Park, Phase IV <br />The Change Order decreases the contract by $7,926.05 and is to adjust <br />quantities to as -built plans. The Change Order was favorably <br />recommended -by Patrick 11. McMahon, Director of Public Works, and <br />John Leszczynski, Manager of the Bureau of Public Construction. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the <br />change order was approved. <br />LETTER FILED - FEDERAL COP'1l`IUNICATIONS COMMISSION <br />The Board had transmitted to the Federal Communications Commission <br />all correspondence from Valley Cablevision, Inc. and from Tim Zeak <br />of the South Bend Antenna Service, regarding problems arising from <br />alleged radiation leaks from Cablevision equipment. A reply was <br />received fron E. J. Galins, Engineer in Charge, Chicago office of <br />the Federal Communications Commission, acknowledging receipt of <br />the correspondence from the Board. Mr. Galins indicated that the <br />F.C.C. has received only one complaint from South Bend from.a <br />Valley Cablevision customer and one complaint from Tim Zeak. He noted <br />that the Commission would continue to follow the situation and said <br />the Board could contact the Washington office of the F. C. C. to request <br />a field investigation. Mr. McMahon said, in view of the recent sale. <br />of Valley Cablevision and the meeting between representatives of the <br />purchaser and Mr. Zeak, the letter would be filed with the Board and <br />a copy sent to the Legal Department for their files. <br />CONFERENCE REPORT FILED <br />Paula Auburn, Personnel Director, submitted to the Board a conference <br />report covering her attendance at a Position Classification Training <br />Conference, sponsored by the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns <br />on December 14, 15 and 16 in Indianapolis. The report was ordered <br />filed. <br />BONDS APPROVED <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that <br />the following bonds had been properly executed and could be filed with <br />the Board: <br />
