2 <br />REGULAR ITEETING <br />14OVEIIBER 1, 1976 <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED = KOONTZ-WAGNER ELECTRIC COMPANY <br />A certificate of insurance from Koontz Wainer Electric Company <br />was submitted to the Board and reviewed by Georgia Luks, Deputy <br />City Attorney. She recommended that.it be filed with the Board. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the certificate was ordered filed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of October 25 <br />through 29 was received. The report indicated seven outages. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the report was ordered filed. <br />TITLE SHEET APPROVED - MIAMI ROAD SEWER EXTENSION <br />The tithe sheet approving the plans for the Miami Road Sewer Exten- <br />sion was submitted to the Board. Mr. Farrand noted that this project, <br />will be constructed under Barrett Law if it is completed. The <br />Board had preliminary plans for the project drawn up by Kent Kaser <br />and Associates and this title sheet approves those plans. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the <br />Board signed the title sheet approving the plans for the Miami Road <br />Sewer Extension. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSAL FOR I'.ALEY STREET CURB A14D SIDEWALK <br />Mr. Farrand advised the Board that the Bureau of Engineering <br />prepared a tabulation of the proposals received for the reconstruction <br />of the Kaley Street curbs and sidewalks. He noted that two of the <br />bidders, Batteast Construction Company and Ziolkowski Construction <br />Company, were high. Two items were not included in the proposal from <br />McIntyre and Jones so they were contacted and asked to submit prices <br />for those two items. The proposals were then reviewed and Rieth Riley <br />Construction Company's proposal was low at $10,625.00 Mr. Farrand' <br />made a motion that the contract for the reconstruction of the Kaley <br />Street curbs and sidewalk for the two blocks south of Western Avenue <br />be awarded to the Rieth Riley Construction Company. Mr. Brunner <br />seconded the motion and it carried. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />submitted to the Board the following recomr_iendations for traffic <br />control devices: <br />A. Three green curb spaces south of Colfax Avenue on the west side <br />of the Supergraphics (100 S. Michigan) at the request.of a <br />new business place. <br />B. Installation of stop signs on Kenmore at Cleveland Road. <br />C. Installation of stop signs on Kenmore at Boland Drive. <br />D. Installation of "40 Mile Speed Limit" signs on Bendix Drive <br />from Lathrop to Cleveland. <br />E. No Parking signs on both sides of Bendix Drive, from Lathrop <br />to Cleveland, in the area of the Airport Industrial Park, Phase IV. <br />F. No Parking Signs, north and south on Ewing for a distance of <br />120' from a point 115' west of Erskine to the drive east of <br />Riley High School, necessary for bus loading zone. This request <br />is being nade in conjunction with the Community School Corporation <br />and Riley High School. <br />Upon motion made by I -Tr. Farrand, seconded by ITr.
