42'7 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 4, 1982 <br />APPROVE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS- ELECTRICAL AND CONCRETE <br />REPAIRS TO JEFFERSON STREET PARKING GARAGE <br />Mr. Leszczynski requested Board approval for the advertising <br />for the receipt of sealed bids for electrical and concrete <br />repair work to the Jefferson Street Parking Garage in accordance <br />with the plans and specifications prepared by Conrad & Associates <br />under a proposal approved by the Board on June 29, 1-948-2-A`W Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the request was approved. It was noted that the above <br />project was estimated to cost $270,000.00. <br />APPROVE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS —RELOCATION OF DIESEL <br />REFUELING STATIONS AT MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY <br />Mr. Sean Watt, Director of the Division of Transportation, requested <br />approval for the advertising of sealed bids for the installation <br />and all work related to relocating and furnishing two new diesel <br />refueling stations at MSF. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS - STREET DEPARTMENT <br />TRUCKS AND TIRE LOADER <br />C[ Mr. Sean Watt, Director of the Division of Transportation, requested <br />approval for the advertising of sealed bids for four single axle <br />cab and chassis trucks, five pickup trucks and one 3-cubic yard <br />rubber tire loader. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Ms. Katherine Barnard, Director of the Neighborhood Code Enforce- <br />ment Office, requested permission to advertise for the sale of <br />approximately 12 abandoned vehicles, 9 of which were valued at <br />over $100.00, and all of which were being stored at the Hurwich <br />Iron Impoundment Lot, 1610 Circle Avenue. It was noted that all <br />vehicles had been stored more than the required 30 days, identifi- <br />cation checks had been run for auto theft, and the owners and <br />lienholders notified. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS —INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS <br />Mr. Joseph Kernan requested Board approval for the advertising <br />of bids for proposals on insurance requirements for the city <br />relating to liability, property and health coverage. He requested <br />that the deadline for the receipt of the proposals be no later <br />than December 3, 1982. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS - PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING <br />FOR POLICE RECRUITS <br />In a letter to the Board, Police Chief Dan Thompson, requested <br />Board approval for the advertising of bids for a psychological <br />test to be administered by a certified Psychologist to police <br />recruits as required under the 12-Month Recruiting Program <br />recently adopted by the Board of Public Safety. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />request was approved. <br />APPROVE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS - PROFESSIONAL TESTING <br />SERVICES FOR POLICE RECRUITS <br />Police Chief Dan Thompson requested Board approval for the <br />advertising of bids for the administration and evaluation of <br />professional testing services for the police recruit test (TABE). <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the request was approved. <br />
