[1 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 13, 1982 <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 23, 1982 - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 23, 1982 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South <br />Bend has compiled a current detailed inventory of all <br />real property owned by the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said <br />inventory of real property and it finds that certain <br />of the parcels of real estate now owned by the City of <br />South Bend are not necessary to the public use and are <br />not set aside by state and city laws for public purposes; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take <br />the necessary action to make it possible for the Board, <br />in the future to sell said parcels of real estate <br />pursuant to State Statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public <br />Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />That the parcels of real estate owned by the <br />city contained in the following list are not <br />necessary to the public use and are not set <br />aside by state or city law for public purposes: <br />Address <br />621 Rush <br />401 East South <br />Oak and Scott Sts. <br />(Triangular lot adjacent <br />to Chapin, Oak & Scott) <br />1608 Prairie <br />634 Keasey <br />1237 Van Buren <br />Deed No. <br />814 <br />1168 <br />820 <br />1069 <br />792 <br />Adopted this 13th day of September, 1982. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ John E. Byers, Clerk <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above Resolution No. 23, 1982, was adopted. <br />APPROVE RECOMMENDATIONS TO DENY TAXI DRIVERS' LICENSES <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that City Controller Joseph E. Kernan <br />had submitted recommendations to deny the taxicab applications <br />of Paul B. Taylor, 1338 East Howard Street; Mario P. Ferri, Jr., <br />907 Dover Street; and Wayne Coleman Morgan, 4182 Merrifield, <br />Mishawaka. In the case of Mr. Taylor's application, the recom- <br />mendation for denial was submitted because false information had <br />been provided on the application. Mr. Kernan advised that his <br />recommendations for denial of the applications of Mario Ferri <br />and Wayne Coleman Morgan were also based on incomplete informa- <br />tion submitted or falsification of the applications. Mr. Taylor <br />was present at the Board meeting and advised Board members that <br />he had not intentionally falsified the application, but did not <br />understand the question fully concerning convictions and had, <br />
