353 REGULAR MEETING JULY 19, 1982 REQUEST REFERRED TO CONDUCT LABOR DAY PARADE (DISCOVERY HALL) A request was submitted by Gus Saros, Director of the Discovery Hall Museum, for permission to conduct a Labor Day parade on Monday, September 6, 1982, starting at 10:00 a.m., at Tippecanoe Place and proceeding to Century Center. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Traffic Division for review and recommendation. APPROVAL OF BLOCK PARTIES Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, recommended approval of the following block party requests, subject to the maintenance of a 12-foot clear and unobstructed emergency lane: 1300 block of East Washington Street Wednesday, July 28, 1982, beginning at 5:30 p.m. �. (rain date of July 29th). Requested by: Mr. Richard H. Peltz, c/o Slutsky-Peltz Plumbing CD 'D and Heating, 1216-18 West Washington. Stanfield between Corby and Howard Streets Saturday, July 31, 1982. Requested by: Arden Davidson, 930 North Niles Avenue. 300 and 400 blocks of Parkovash Sunday, August 8, 1982, starting at 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (rain date of August 15th). Requested by: Mrs. Joyce Pinkerton, 410 Parkovash. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above block parties were approved subject to the maintenance of the emergency lane as'recommended by Mr. Wadzinski. APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, recommended approval of the following traffic control devices: INSTALL NO PARKING ON THIS COURT - Riley Place. INSTALL NO PARKING - N. side of Marshall from Logan to alley (139') west of Logan. REMOVE NO TURN ON RED - For Southbound Chapin at Western. INSTALL YIELD SIGN- On Chapin at.Western (right turn lane). Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above traffic control devices were approved. FILE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS A list containing 74 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was submitted. It was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up the lots and had failed to do so. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the environmental list was filed. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Neighborhood Code Enforcement crews had also cleaned 441 city -owned lots in addition to the privately -owned lots.
