354 <br />REGULAR MEETING JULY 19, 1982 <br />APPROVAL OF TITLE SHEETS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the following title sheets were approved and signed: <br />Monroe -Sample Redevelopment - Phase I <br />Concrete Pavement Repairs - 1982 <br />Ardmore Trail Street Improvement <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by 'Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the following applications for handicapped parking <br />permits were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />Office for issuance: <br />Richard D.. Carlson, 55165 Berry, S.B. <br />Tassie Iwanoczko, 2311 W. 6th, Mish. <br />Erica Mosby, 247 N. Walnut, S.B. <br />James H. Doremus, 1354 Woodbine Way <br />Lewis Stephens, 620 Lindsey, S.B. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak recommended the Board release the Contractor's <br />Bond of William H. Leefers as requested by his insurance company. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the above Contractor's Bond for William H. Leefers <br />was released effective July 19, 1982. <br />FILING OF MONTHLY HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT ' MAY 1982 <br />The report indicated a total of 239 dogs handled during the <br />month of May; 163 cats handled and 142 other animals handled, <br />for a total of 544 animals for May. The total number of animals <br />handled from January, 1982, through May 31, 1982, was 2,408. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the report was filed. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE - RITSCHARD BROTHERS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the Certificate of Insurance for Ritschard Brothers was filed. <br />FILING OF STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report indicated a total of 5 outages for the period of July <br />7 through July 11, 1982. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was filed. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy Controller Sherrie L. Petz submitted Claim Docket No. <br />13199 through No. 13578 and recommended approval. Mr. Elroy <br />Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana CETA Consortium, submitted <br />P. 0. No. 1258 through No. 1288 and recommended approval. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the reports were filed and the claims approved. <br />COMPLAINTS OF HIGH WEEDS ON ARMORY PROPERTY <br />Mrs. Jane Swan, 1706 South Walnut Street, appeared before the <br />Board and complained about the eight -foot high weeds which <br />have grown up on the armory property on Kemble Avenue. She <br />advised that the property behind the armory fronting on Donald <br />Street from Kemble to Bruce was, in her opinion, a health and <br />safety hazard.
