331 REGULAR MEETING JUNE 21. 1982 South Bend. Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the request was approved subject to compliance with Board guidelines and a favorable approval of the intersections requested by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Traffic Division. APPROVAL OF BLOCK PARTIES Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, recommended approval of the following block party requests subject to a 12-foot clear and unobstructed lane being maintained at either curb or down the center of the street: 1100 block of N. St. Peter Street - June 26, 1982, from 4:00 p.m, to 10:00 p.m. (requested by Joseph Stante, 1121 N.-St. Peter) 1800 block of S. Marine Street - June 27, 1982, from 9:30 a.m, to 10:00 p.m. (requested by Mrs. Carol Edgell, 1805 Marine) 1000 and 1100 blocks of West Oak - July 4, 1982 (July 5 - rain date) from 8:00 a.m, to 8:00 p.m. Q (requested by Mrs. Linda Johnson, 1015 West Oak) Good Place from Riverside to Culver - July 4, 1982, from 1:00 p.m, to 10:00 p.m. (requested by Mrs. Cheryl Pulling, 1031 Good Place) 1800 block of Wilber Street - July 4, 1982, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (requested by Richard Farrell, Jr., 18.42 Wilber) Portion of Marquette Avenue and Wakewa between Iroquois and Lafayette - July 5, 1982, from 3:00 p.m, to 7:00 p.m. (requested by John M. Hager, 133 Wakewa) Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above block party requests were approved as recommended. REQUESTS TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES REFERRED The following requests to purchase city-otimed properties were received: Mr. Willie L. Cherry 637 E. Broadway South Bend, Indiana Mr. Joseph R. Doyle c/o Richard Doyle 913 West Colfax South Bend, Indiana - Request to purchase 629 E. Broadway - Request to purchase small triangular lot at Oak and Scott Streets (Part of Lot 12, Kunstman's First) Upon a motion made by Per. Leszczynski, seconded and carried, the above requests were referred to city agencies for a determination as to whether city need retain the properties for any reason. FILE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS by Mr. Hill the various or not the A list containing 68 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was submitted. It was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up the lots and failed to do._so. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the environmental list was filed.
