331 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 21. 1982 <br />South Bend. Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. <br />Leszczynski and carried, the request was approved subject <br />to compliance with Board guidelines and a favorable approval <br />of the intersections requested by the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting and the Police Traffic Division. <br />APPROVAL OF BLOCK PARTIES <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, recommended approval of the following block party <br />requests subject to a 12-foot clear and unobstructed lane <br />being maintained at either curb or down the center of the <br />street: <br />1100 block of N. St. Peter Street - June 26, 1982, <br />from 4:00 p.m, to 10:00 p.m. (requested by <br />Joseph Stante, 1121 N.-St. Peter) <br />1800 block of S. Marine Street - June 27, 1982, <br />from 9:30 a.m, to 10:00 p.m. (requested by <br />Mrs. Carol Edgell, 1805 Marine) <br />1000 and 1100 blocks of West Oak - July 4, 1982 <br />(July 5 - rain date) from 8:00 a.m, to 8:00 p.m. <br />Q (requested by Mrs. Linda Johnson, 1015 West Oak) <br />Good Place from Riverside to Culver - July 4, 1982, <br />from 1:00 p.m, to 10:00 p.m. (requested by Mrs. <br />Cheryl Pulling, 1031 Good Place) <br />1800 block of Wilber Street - July 4, 1982, from <br />2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (requested by Richard <br />Farrell, Jr., 18.42 Wilber) <br />Portion of Marquette Avenue and Wakewa between <br />Iroquois and Lafayette - July 5, 1982, from <br />3:00 p.m, to 7:00 p.m. (requested by John M. <br />Hager, 133 Wakewa) <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above block party requests were approved as <br />recommended. <br />REQUESTS TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES REFERRED <br />The following requests to purchase city-otimed properties were <br />received: <br />Mr. Willie L. Cherry <br />637 E. Broadway <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Mr. Joseph R. Doyle <br />c/o Richard Doyle <br />913 West Colfax <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />- Request to purchase 629 E. Broadway <br />- Request to purchase small triangular <br />lot at Oak and Scott Streets (Part <br />of Lot 12, Kunstman's First) <br />Upon a motion made by Per. Leszczynski, seconded <br />and carried, the above requests were referred to <br />city agencies for a determination as to whether <br />city need retain the properties for any reason. <br />FILE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS <br />by Mr. Hill <br />the various <br />or not the <br />A list containing 68 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of <br />the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was submitted. It <br />was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up <br />the lots and failed to do._so. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the environmental <br />list was filed. <br />
