REGULAR MEETING Arco Engineering 705 S. Beiger St. Mishawaka, Ind.. $80,677.90 Rieth-Riley Construction P. 0. Box 1775 South Bend, Ind. $67,632.75 JUNE 7`, 19 8 2 Bid was signed by Thomas 0. Walsh, non -collusion affidavit was in order, and a 5% bid bond was submitted. Bid was signed by Richard D. Ruhlman, non -collusion affidavit was in order, and`a 5% bid bond was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above bids were referred to the Engineering Department for review and recommendation. Following a review of the bids, Mr. Neil Shanahan, Manager of the Bureau of Public Construction, recommended the Board award the low bid of Rieth-Riley Con- struction Company in the amount of.$67,632.75 for the paving and landscaping work to be done downtown. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr Hill and carried, the recommendation and low bid of Rieth-Riley Construction Company were approved, OPENING OF BIDS - PRAIRIE AVENUE GUARDRAIL PROJECT This was the date set for receiving and opening sealed bids for the construction of a guardrail at Prairie Avenue and Oliver Streets. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of.notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Small , Inc. 25190 State Road 4 North Liberty, Ind. E Morse Electric Comapny 712 N. Niles. Avenue South Bend, Ind. $ 9,381.50 Rieth-Riley Construction P. 0. Box 1775 South Bend, Ind. $ 7,830.45 Bid was signed by Ronald N. Howell, non -collusion affidavit was in order, and a 5% bid bond was submitted. Bid was signed by Brett S. Morse, non -collusion affidavit was in order, and a 5% bid bond was submitted. Bid was signed by Richard D. Ruhlman, non -collusion affidavit was in order, and a 5% bid bond was submitted. McIntyre & Jones Construction Bid was signed by Kenneth A. McIntyre, 2526 West 6th Street non -collusion affidavit was in order, Mishawaka, Ind. and a 5% bid bond was submitted. $ 8,835.75 Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above bids were referred to the Engineering Department for review and recommendation. OPENING AND AWARD OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES This was the date set for receiving and opening sealed bids for the sale of approximately eight` abandoned vehicles, six of which were valued at over $100.00 and all of which were being stored. at the Hurwich Impoundment Lot, 1610 Circle Avenue. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read:
