REGULAR MEETING <br />Arco Engineering <br />705 S. Beiger St. <br />Mishawaka, Ind.. <br />$80,677.90 <br />Rieth-Riley Construction <br />P. 0. Box 1775 <br />South Bend, Ind. <br />$67,632.75 <br />JUNE 7`, 19 8 2 <br />Bid was signed by Thomas 0. Walsh, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order, <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid was signed by Richard D. Ruhlman, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order, <br />and`a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the above bids were referred to the Engineering Department for <br />review and recommendation. Following a review of the bids, Mr. <br />Neil Shanahan, Manager of the Bureau of Public Construction, <br />recommended the Board award the low bid of Rieth-Riley Con- <br />struction Company in the amount of.$67,632.75 for the paving <br />and landscaping work to be done downtown. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr Hill and carried, the recommendation <br />and low bid of Rieth-Riley Construction Company were approved, <br />OPENING OF BIDS - PRAIRIE AVENUE GUARDRAIL PROJECT <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening sealed bids for <br />the construction of a guardrail at Prairie Avenue and Oliver <br />Streets. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of.notice in <br />the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found <br />to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Small , Inc. <br />25190 State Road 4 <br />North Liberty, Ind. <br />E <br />Morse Electric Comapny <br />712 N. Niles. Avenue <br />South Bend, Ind. <br />$ 9,381.50 <br />Rieth-Riley Construction <br />P. 0. Box 1775 <br />South Bend, Ind. <br />$ 7,830.45 <br />Bid was signed by Ronald N. Howell, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order, <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid was signed by Brett S. Morse, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order, <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid was signed by Richard D. Ruhlman, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order, <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />McIntyre & Jones Construction Bid was signed by Kenneth A. McIntyre, <br />2526 West 6th Street non -collusion affidavit was in order, <br />Mishawaka, Ind. and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />$ 8,835.75 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the above bids were referred to the Engineering Department for <br />review and recommendation. <br />OPENING AND AWARD OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening sealed bids for <br />the sale of approximately eight` abandoned vehicles, six of which <br />were valued at over $100.00 and all of which were being stored. <br />at the Hurwich Impoundment Lot, 1610 Circle Avenue. The Clerk <br />tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The <br />following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />
