Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the above bids were referred to the Neighborhood <br />Code Enforcement Office for immediate review in order that an award <br />could be made at this time. Following that review, the following <br />bids were awarded upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried: <br />Hundt's Auto Salvage <br />- Vehicle <br />No. 1, <br />$ 50.00 <br />Francis Shafer <br />- Vehicle <br />No. 2, <br />$ 50.00 <br />Hurwich Iron Company <br />- Vehicle <br />No. 3, <br />$ 40.50 <br />Vehicle <br />No. 5, <br />35.00 <br />Vehicle <br />No. 7, <br />42.50 <br />Vehicle <br />No. 8, <br />40.50 <br />Total: <br />$158.50 <br />Kowalski Bros. <br />- Vehicle <br />No. 4, <br />$ 76.00 <br />- Vehicle <br />No. 6, <br />79.00 <br />Total: <br />$155.00 <br />Grand <br />Total: $413.50 <br />APPROVE INTENDED USE OF REVENUE SHARING FUNDS - <br />STUDEBAKER MUSEUM ($30,000.00) <br />This was the date set for holding a public hearing on the proposed <br />use of revenue sharing funds in the amount of $30,000.00 during <br />the calendar year 1982. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication <br />of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which <br />were found to be sufficient. Mr. Kernan explained that $15,000.00 <br />in revenue sharing funds would be put into an escrow account in <br />order to meet the requirements of the lease for the building which <br />will house the Studebaker car collection. He added that the <br />remaining $15,000.00 will be set aside to be used for set-up <br />costs and costs incurred in moving the collection from its present <br />location. In accordance with guidelines adopted for such use of <br />revenue sharing funds, information about this public hearing was <br />forwarded to the following senior citizen groups with the request <br />that the notice be posted: Foster Grandparents, Hansel Neighbor- <br />hood Center, REAL Services, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, <br />Senior Citizens Group of LaSalle Park, Harvest House Centers <br />and Howard Park Senior Citizens' Center. There was no one present <br />to speak against the proposed expenditure. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the public hearing <br />was closed and the Clerk was instructed to forward the minutes <br />of this public hearing to the Controller's Office and the City <br />Clerk. <br />[1 <br />
