1'7 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />Public Parking Facility <br />Tower Federal Savings & Loan (southeast corner <br />of Washington and William). <br />JUNE 7. 1982 <br />First United Methodist Church (300 blk. N. Lafayette) <br />Mr. Kernan advised that the appropriate certificates of insurance <br />were filed and no fire prevention devices were Irequired for open, <br />flat parking lots as was required in the parking garages. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the license applications were approved and referred to the <br />Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. <br />Open Air Stand <br />Jim Frick <br />4531 S. Michigan (Ford's Dairy Queen lot) <br />Richard Traxler <br />1007 Lincolnway West (gas station lot) <br />C9 Mr. Kernan noted that permission for the open air stand licenses <br />was requested for the above two locations for the sale of fire- <br />d[ works. He noted that a favorable recommendation for issuance of <br />the license had been received concerning zoning by the Building <br />Department; sufficient off-street parking by the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting; and the Police Department. He stated <br />that an inspection would be conducted by the Fire Prevention <br />Bureau once the stands were in operation to make certain that <br />the fireworks being sold were considered legal fireworks in <br />Indiana. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the license applications were approved and <br />referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. <br />Open Air Stand <br />Cristela Rivera (sale of hot dogs) <br />2118 W. Western <br />James and Lori Gesto (fruits and vegtables) <br />Vacant lot at Logan and Jefferson - northwest <br />Mr. Kernan stated that the necessary approvals for the above <br />applications had been received; however, an inspection by the <br />Health Department would need to be conducted once the stands <br />were in operation to make certain the sale of the food items <br />and produce was in accordance with local health laws. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the above license applications were approved and referred to <br />the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS <br />A list containing 36 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of <br />the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was submitted. It. <br />was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up <br />the lots and had failed to do so. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the environmental <br />list was filed. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTORS' BONDS <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak recommended approval of the following <br />Contractors' Bonds: <br />Dale Bollenbacher (retroactive to May 26, 1982) <br />James L. Briggs, II (retroactive to June 1, 1982) <br />Willie Crumbley (retroactive to June 1, 1982) <br />Joseph R. Roskuski (retroactive to June 3, 1982) <br />
