264 REGULAR MEETING APRIL 19, 1982 Service did not meet specifications, and the cost to the city would be considerably higher if the city would assume the loading and dumping costs in addition to paying for the hauling. Following a brief review of the bids, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski,' seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the low bid meeting specifica- tions of Superior Waste Systems in theanount of $3.93 per cubic yard was approved. OPENING OF BIDS - STREEt DEPARTMENT EQUIP14ENT This was the date set.for receiving and opening sealed bids for the supply and mounting of five crankshaft hydraulic systems, three 14' x 7'.dump boxes with hoist, two 10' x 7' dump boxes with hoist and miscellaneous equipment on three tandem and two single axle International cab and chassis. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read Stanley Enterprises, Inc. Bid was signed by Richard 2808 Tucker Drive Kromkowski, non -collusion South Bend, Ind. was in order, and a certified check in the amount of $5,835.00 was submitted.
