256 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 5, 1982 <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 186, Acts of 1967, of the Indiana General <br />Assembly, permits the sale of personal property no longer needed <br />or obsolete. <br />NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of <br />the City of South Bend that the above listed vehicle is <br />obsolete and not needed by the City of South Bend. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Bureau of Vehicle Maintenance <br />be authorized to scrap said vehicle and that it be removed <br />from the City Vehicle Inventory. <br />Adopted: April 5, 1982 <br />ATTEST: <br />s/ Barbara J. Kernan <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above resolution was adopted. <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 11, 1982 - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11, 1982 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend <br />has compiled a current detailed inventory of all real <br />property owned by the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said <br />inventory of real property and it finds that certain of <br />the parcels of real estate now owned by the City of South <br />Bend, are not necessary to the public use and are not set <br />aside by state and city laws for public purposes;*and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take the <br />necessary action to make it possible for the Board, in the <br />future to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant to State <br />Statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />That the parcels of real estate owned by the <br />city contained in the following list are not <br />necessary to the public use and are not set <br />aside by state or city law for public purposes: <br />Address Deed No. <br />620 Clinton St. 740 <br />125 E. Dayton 950 <br />Adopted this 5th day of April, 1982. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above resolution was adopted. <br />APPLICATION FOR RECYCLING/TRANSFER STATION LICENSE TABLED <br />(THE PRAIRIE COMPANY) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Curtis Crofoot, representing The <br />Prairie Company, 1100 Prairie Avenue, had submitted an application <br />for a recycling/transfer station license. Mr. Leszczynski <br />further stated that, under present licensing requirements, the <br />scrap yard license was the only license under which the recycling <br />operation would fall. Mrs. Katherine Barnard, Director of the <br />Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office, explained that she was <br />concerned because there was no opaque fencing around the yard <br />which faced public property, and she stated this was a requirement <br />1 <br />
