232 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 15, 1982 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Park Commissioners believes that <br />it is in the-City's best interest that the facility be <br />occupied and maintained to prevent deterioration and <br />vandalism of said facility; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has given notice <br />pursuant to I.C. 5-3-1 and has conducted a public hearing <br />on the desirability of offering the Storyland Zoo facility <br />for lease to a not -for -profit organization which will use <br />and maintain said property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public <br />Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />1. That recommendation be made to the Mayor that <br />the lease of said facility be approved. <br />2. That a lease for use and maintenance of said <br />property be advertised and negotiated pursuant to I.C. 36-1-11. <br />Adopted this 15th day of March, 1982. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ John E. Byers, Clerk <br />AWARD BID - GASOLINE AND FUEL OIL <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Sean Watt, Director of the <br />Division of Transportation, had reviewed the gasoline and fuel <br />oil bids received and opened by the Board on March 8, 1982, and <br />recommended that the following low bids meeting specifications <br />be awarded: <br />Berreth Oil, Inc. <br />Regular Gasoline - <br />Regular Gasoline - <br />Unleaded Gasoline - <br />Diesel Fuel No. 1 - <br />Diesel Fuel No. 1 - <br />Diesel Fuel No. 2 - <br />Renco Oil Corporation <br />transport <br />tank wagon <br />transport <br />transport <br />tank wagon <br />transport <br />Diesel Fuel No. 2 - tank wagon <br />Pierceton Equipment Co., Inc. <br />No. 4 Fuel Oil - transport <br />MAC Oil Corporation <br />d/b/a Circle Oil Co. <br />Unleaded Gasoline - tank wagon <br />$.905/gallon <br />.950/gallon <br />.935/gallon <br />.946/gallon <br />.996/gallon <br />.880/gallon <br />.929/gallon <br />.7846/gallon <br />1.012/gallon <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that no recommendation was being made at <br />this time for purchase of gasohol or regohol. Upon a motion made. <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried the above <br />low bids as recommended by Mr. Watt were approved and awarded. <br />11 <br />
